Yeah. Still salty about that missing EC chance last year! I like them even more than LOTL and having them would have been such a blast! Tekkno Train again is such a fun video, so is the song, I love it!

But what I like about LOTL is they‘re humble and thoughtful, respectful, Chris' voice is so good (tickles me a little bit more than Nico's) and I love their appearance. This is not only glam rock like people say. They do not just put on a costume to serve the glam rock cliché - they really do love dressing up, wearing make-up, feeling good with it, without any predjudice. They are open to other communities than just the Metalheads, like the queer community, which is underrepresented outside the pop and Schlager bubble. So there‘s a place for them where they are taken seriously.

Couldn't agree more. Both bands have their qualities after all. Yeah, Chris could sing me to sleep – in a good way, it's so deep and calming in a way xlove I just wish I could love Blood and Glitter as much as their past songs like Loreley, but it's sadly not quite up there for me. But just to have them as our contestant is a blessing in itself, so I am just happy and I hope the audience voting will send the right signals to our broadcaster.

I think it will be France. I know that our entry is quite liked, but I don't think it will be enough for people to vote for it.
I will! With my phone and with any other that people around me will not hide from me quickly enough.

Spain would be my pick also and maybe even Italy.

Germany screams jury flop and France televoting flop.

And Ukraine would bottom hard normally.
Italy will not flop: I would say third place in the juries (and a decent score in the televoting because there aren't many ballads and all the lovers of the genre will vote for us).
I feel all the Big 5 will stay outside the top 5 (but Ukraine will reach it) but outside the bottom 5 too.

Tumblr, mostly.
I find Blood and Glitter kinda boring. It holds back a bit too much. Idk. Voyager exist and are way better.

Still the best option available in Unser Lied (which was once again terrible :-) ) and one that WILL receive televote points, finally!

a :6: for the effort.

It`s at least interesting to see how the tables have turned. The last few years the Germany thread was mostly a lengthy group therapy session. This year it seems to be a circle jerk. That counts as an upgrade, I assume. Srsly it`s somewhat pleasant to see people in here mostly enjoying a German entry (even if I don`t). Haven`t had that in a while. :D

With that being said: I still don`t see Germany avoiding the bottom 5. But we shall see what happens.

No suprise with the odds. I must say that I hate this shit because you can see how much it even influences the juries. To me thats not fair. And Germany always geht's ranked down with odds, no suprises here. It went the same with Michael Schulte.
please, North Macedonia had the odds of 501 times the money and yet they won the jury vote in 2019, so take off your tinfoil hat

Having watched Unser Lied für Liverpool live, online from the UK, yesterday evening (3 March 2023), I've made a review video containing my opinions on all eight finalist songs in order of performance (based on Unser Lied für Liverpool performances), and my ranking from eighth to first in My Eurovision Scoreboard.

Wow you can always find an example that stands for the opposite of quite everything...Whataboutism as its best.
I'm not here to complain about Germanys low rankings in the past year because our songs were not good most of the time that's not what I'm trying to say.

This could be the first year that none of the prequalified countries finishes in the bottom, or if so then already with a hefty amount of points, like in 2009 or 2011
If I am correct, if we had used the point system we used now in 2011, every country in the final besides switzerland would have gotten more than 100 points

Then there’s Italy in 2011 with 125 times the money. Austria in 2018 with the odds of 301 times the money. Also Latvia who was the jury runner-up in 2015 with 41 times the money. Just admit you’re wrong, juries don’t give a fuck about betting odds

There's still a clear influence for me, especially last year and before. But opinions may vary :)

Sorry just no. This is clearly not my kind of music. I am glad many enjoy and happy they got their preferred choice to represent Germany. But to me, it's not this entry is like miles better than what they have sent before. To me, it's just a different type of mediocrity Germany has sent for the past 5 years (excluding 2020, which was such a shame that the contest is cancelled).
Giving this a :3:.
