Now I took my breakfast, drank and ate and just enjoy the day. Can't believe that Germany choose this wonderful song and that for once this is my most favorite song of the whole season and I doubt another song can replace it. Thank you televoters! I can imagine that also a part voted to prevent Ikke, but I am certain that with this song we won't be at the bottom in May, and even if we are, I am still proud about this entry.

I am so happy I could cry now!

Its one of the better german entries and for sure the best performance of last night. LOTL can save germany from getting last again. I give 5 points.

I don't know why I'm so happy for you. I'm just a Norwegian Queen of Kings. But I truly am. My grandmother was German and told me tales about her German lover till the day she died. The love of her life, torn apart by war.
That was an aside. I'm just so happy to see you climb from bottom to top, no matter how well LOTL do in Liverpool.

Glad that Germany decided to take a risk and bring something interesting to the contest that sounds mostly bland this year. 7 pts

I am not full German either. My dad was half Japanese and I lived in Tokyo for nearly 17 years. But mentally, I am German and live here now. :) I love Alexandra this year as well and she is my 6th (?), I think!

I couldn't watch the show yesterday because I got very sick and had to sleep. When I woke up today and looked at the thread title and saw their name... I don't think I've ever been this hyped and excited for our entry. I can't believe it. They won. Our country made the right choice for once. This is my favorite German entry since "Taken by a stranger". Of course I gave it :12: points and I strongly believe we will escape Bottom 5 this year. Let me also say:

- the show was really great. The NDR did a great job. Almost everyone had a good staging. I even liked Barbara. I hope the NDR continues with this level of quality
- I was shocked when I saw that Patty got the last place. But yeah, her performance was very weak unfortunately.
- Ikke was tragic. Anyone who says we should've send him just wants us to flop at Eurovision. It's not just the cringe lyrics but also his vocals. This was the worst vocal performance imo.
- I'm glad they invited Malik and promoted his new single!

That's all. Super excited for Eurovision 2023!

Hope you are soon fine again! Watch also the winner performance of LOTL because this was (for me anyway) better than the first performance! And makes you healthy again! :)

That's very interesting. I've traveled a lot but never Japan. A very attractive destination among young people right now (at least here).

Alexandra is really good, but the song is not my style. I place her in top 10 though because the song is quality. Thank you. And enjoy your bright smile today :D

It’s different for Germany but I don’t like it. It reminds me of a Berlin BDSM club soundtrack where everyone is on drugs and doesn’t care about STD’s. The lyrics go in this direction for me. Something Rammstein would have rejected 25 years ago.

Odds are getting worse though 😅

I bet they do. But it doesn’t matter.

First of all - people know Germany has been last place (or close to last) for quite a while. They don’t have faith it will be a better song this year. They don’t even bother to bet on Germany. I think most even did not bother to watch the show. Odds will rise before the final.

And then, secondly, nobody believed we would rise from zero to 100. It’s not we believe we can go straight top 10 or let alone win. We are just happy that Germany has finally decided to choose a song that WE, the public, wanted. That WE can enjoy the contest. We might end up around 15-20th place but one year chances are there we‘re not bottom 3. And if we do again - we’ll, at least the public is behind this entry and doesn’t have a feeling we are overruled by our broadcaster.
