I think its a close run between Aly and Linus. And I feel like Linus is the frontrunner, just because .. not because of the song, but yeah. I wished it was anything different and Germany surprised us, but I dont believe it.

I‘m so afraid that tonight Lilly’s joining the list of acts that I would’ve loved to see at ESC but Germany left stranded (Unheilig, Santiano, Gregorian, Avantasia.....) at this point I’m ready for the worst

I'd personally be so mad that Aly missed out by just two points but honestly: if the public wants Linus and he wins in den end, then I'm fine. No chances then for a good placing this year but at least it's the publics choice. Imagine what would happen if the publics choice doesn't win tonight

Are we sure the public will love Linus that much though? I could imagine that Gregor might be much more their cup of tea and steal some votes from Linus. But then again I think a third place for Aly Ryan might also be too optimistic with the audience.

I just hope that the public understands the huge effort that Aly probably put in her performance and how professional and expensive her staging is. If they do so, then they will vote for her. But I'm afraid that her look and the kind of song is not very popular with casual viewers. Very afraid that she won't win :?

Well, she certainly has a 'special' personality so I don't know if she's mainstream enough for casual viewers. The song should stick out but I have the impression that Germany's audience rather votes for (cheesy) ballads than uptempo songs but I could be wrong.

It all depends on how much the personality shines in the introduction videos as well, I think especially Germany is voting for PEOPLE and not SONGS. So if she comes across as cold, she will lose. Linus and Gregor will be the guys that are cute, so get lots of votes anyway.

Okay, thank you guys for all the OPTIMISTIC comments! :? Oh well, I am realistic. But I am glad enough that Germany has an exciting NF this time! And I won't give my hope up. It ain't over till it's over. If the Outcome isn't so good, I will Keep hoping for some other countries (c'mon, Portugal!).

I'm kind of glad Germany saved revealing the songs until the day of the actual selection, because it will be less painful tonight seeing The Day I Loved You Most miss out. It will be a very brief whirlwind romance.

That or you could just, you know.... send it and get my top spot of the year as I'm absolutely besotted with it at this point. Most lush ballad of 2019. The chorus is achingly beautiful. It's going to be painful for me tonight seeing anything else winning when this is there.

I'm kind of glad Germany saved revealing the songs until the day of the actual selection, because it will be less painful tonight seeing The Day I Loved You Most miss out. It will be a very brief whirlwind romance.

I wouldn't write off Makeda just yet. I could imagine that she will be high ranked by the juries. By now I have absolutely NO idea to which Artist they tend to, not to speak of the televoters … I would be totally fine with Makeda too, though I really adore Lilly's song the most.

Wirklich freuen wir uns darauf, heute Abend ihren Vorentscheid zu gucken.

I'll definitely be rooting for in May if they choose the right entry, but I think that whoever wins, I'm going to love it.

Seeing polls, comments etc he aint, but according to most Germans here in this forum and elsewhere we expect him to be the televoting winner, because of Germany's voting pattern.
