Thinking about the running order:
- Gregor walking out of his door and opening the show's a nice idea
- Aly will stand out between two ballads (possible a NDR favorite?!)
- BB Tomaz before Lilly and after Makeda could get her some extra points
- Linus after Lilly (if the NDR's not totally blind, she's another big favorite) means they don't see much potential in him?!
- NDR really wants their "Wildcard" entry to win! Looks like Schreiber still hasn't learn the "rules" after all

Would all make sense, I think! But it is very hard to predict how things will turn out tonight. I am veeeeeery nervous, tbh.

No idea … Right now I have no idea at all how Things will turn out … who knows we may have a complete surprise winner that we don't expect now ...

I didn't try to predict the viewers, because that's pretty much impossible. I tried to read the placing from NDR's point of view...

My top 3:

1. Surprise. I think it's a bit different from the others, but it doesn't try to be so desperately different that it becomes weird. Also I liked her voice.
2. The day I loved you most. Lovely song, I really like a good ballad and a great voice, but I honestly don't see anything super special in this.
3. Wear your love. It's not my 2nd choice because I like the sound of the beginning that repeats in other parts of the song, and it's modern, but the chorus is a bit underwhelming. When the song started I expected something stronger.

I don't like the others, they are either too generic or too strange. Verses and chorus in 'Demons' seem made of 2 different songs and I don't like how it sounds together, it's not pleasant to my ears.

Interesting how nearly all of the songs part fans around the world. A lot of people love Aly, some don't like it at all. Some find Lilly very special, others hate it. Great, how divisive the entries are - if that's down to the system?

So the NDR did actually have a little report on TV about the national selection. Guess who they just showed and talked about? Linus and Sisters. I really feel like those two are the faves of the NDR! :?

That's one of the things, I'm rather worried about. I hope, they vote for their best candidate and not for someone the NDR wanted.... :?
If we learnt one thing, this year, it's no NF is safe anymore

I once again have to realize how horrible it is to have a definite favourit. Because the chance of winning is 1/7 and well, this can easily end up on my top if it turns out right, but if Aly isn't chosen, I will support the act no matter what, but I will be gutted. When will Germany put on a show like hers again? Probably never.

Well, actually I don't see Makeda as a total lost cause as I find her song to be absolutely stunning, and generally when I'm touched by a piece of music in this way at the contest it goes on to do very well. The performances tonight will paint a better picture I think of who the right artist for Germany is. From the studio versions I'd say Lily Among Clouds, although her song presents a barrier for me personally that makes it hard to get into. There's only one song in this selection that appeals to me and I'm done with what's best for the country kindness. I want a song I love, dammit. Time to hijack this NF tonight. I'm flying to Germany with simcards and an agenda.

Okay, just listened to every song. What a NF this is! I liked 6 of 7 songs, clearly the best NF we've had so far. Here's my top:

1. Aly Ryan - Wear Your Love (10/10)
DRESS ME, DRESS ME UP. ALL I WANNA DO IS WEAR YOUR LOVE. I can't get this out of my head. What a bop! We have to send this to Tel Aviv. Would probably finish in the Top 5.

2. lilly among clouds - Surprise (9/10)
This one's awesome too. So atmospheric and dark, I like it! I don't know how well it would do in Israel, but it went straight into my playlist.

3. BB Thomaz - Demons (8/10)
I expected more after the start, but it's still a bop. Excited to see her perform tonight. One of the better vocalists in this NF:

4. Linus Bruhn - Our City (8/10)
Don't know where to put it, it's nice and generic at the same time. Will probably be a grower until tonight.

5. Makeda - The Day I Loved You Most (7/10)
Good song and even better vocals, but I don't connect to it and I don't want another ballad in the contest. :?

6. Gregor Hägele - Let Me Go (6/10)
Another grower. It's a cute song, but there are better ones in the NF. Would've easily been my favorite in our 2018 NF.

7. Sisters - Sister (3.5/10)
It's a no from me. They both have nice voices, but the song is way too boring. Expected more from them, it's the only song I really dislike.
