A-Lister, go eat a snickers bar...
I love delusional stans

I actually think LaBrassBanda, that won the televote in German NF 2013- but were screwed over by the juries, would have been more successful in ESC (atleast with televoters) than Cascada were... I mean they were sorta like if one mixed Greece with Hungary, energetic-alternative-hipster-ish-local-ska in native language...
I didn't want Cascaca to win, but I was very relieved that La Brass Banda didn't win
Blitzkids or maybe Saint Lu would have had chances to reach a good ranking in ESC
I love you ! Where have you been all my life ?
Believe me ... I was live in Hannover when this happend .... and it was just a bunch of noise!
BTW Cascada won the televote actually
I rather think that Greece would have scored them off...
Nackert is like a boring version of the Greek song, absolutely no highlights, no real melody, not catchy and in contrast to the Greek band they are not even sympathic.

Maybe I'm your neighbor but you don't know it
Well, my personal fav from the German selection was Betty Dittrich... it got really screwed over by the juries aswell (note how the juries screwed ALL German language entries over!!!)... that was such a nice little guilty pleasure song.
I never liked Blitzkids
I'm not sure whether or not you've been living under a rock these past few years, but Cascada has had a few hits in the last five years....
"Fever", "Dangerous", "Pyromania", "San Francisco", "Au Revoir", "Summer of Love", and "The Rhythm of the Night".
So stick that in your pipe and smoke it, deary.
Noticed I used the word hit
What you mentioned are just one flop after the other
Edit: LaBrassBanda is a great live band, I like them very much and I've had high hopes myself, but their song tbh was too weak, at least in my opinion: The verses were almost without melody; only refrain and (of course ) the energetic live performance were good. (P.S. I'd like them to come back next year with a cracker song )
All these were hits here, and this means they were in other countries as well. They didn't have a #1 in the UK or USA, but you can't call these flops...
Maybe in Cyprus then... but not generally speaking...
Cascada simply have two global/pan-European hits: Everytime We Touch (a cover) and Evacuate the Dance Floor... sure they might have some random hits in some random markets... but I meant overall.
You think Cascada would enter ESC if hey were so successful?
Interesting, because both were my favouirites.

Cyprus has the same hits with Greece, so if something is famous in Cyprus, then it is in Greece as well.
Yes, they weren't pan-European hits, but they weren't big flops either.
I hope atleast next year you won't have juries that are by purpose dismissing all German language songs...
Well, we'll see, but...I personally don't think that "the juries" (<--so annoying tune, btw.) will do that, tbh.
We had Mia Diekow and Betty this year, at least.
See?
Betty didn't receive any pts from the jury, Mia received 2pts (even though her song was way weaker that Betty's)... but still the lowest (or no pts) went to the German language entries... while everything over 2pts went to the English language entries (even if they were worse some of them).
people vote for the 'most convincing' in a show like this, obviously - and this aspect in ESC usually counts a lot.
