Re: DEUTSCHLAND - Germany 2011 - Lena

^ ditto.

Anyway, I don't mind another Satellite-like song.
ps. Just don't choose Siegel, pliiiiz.

Don´t worry, AlekS, Siegel is trying to represent Malta this year with a song, which he has written last year for Lena and which was defeated by the responsibles. So perhaps Malta will send a Siegel-song this year :D

Re: DEUTSCHLAND - Germany 2011 - Lena

The tracklisting of Lena's new album and pretty much the 12 songs competing this year:

01 Good News 03:05
02 What Happened To Me 03:38
03 A Million And One 03:11
04 Maybe 03:06
05 I Like You 02:51
06 Mama Told Me 02:51
07 Push Forward 03:37
08 A Good Day 03:19
09 Taken By A Stranger 03:24
10 Teenage Girls 03:13
11 That Again 03:03
12 At All 03:22

3:38, got an extra chorus on the album for good measure then xD Exciting she want's to fight her title back, unsure how she'll fair tho. She seems more a one trick pony :p

I have to admit, I was skeptical about the idea to have her defend the title, but I'm pretty excited about it now. I think it gives Eurovision a fresh element of competitiveness, usually limited to sporting events, which will only make the contest more exciting.

Also - unless maybe she comes dead last, which is rather unlikely - I don't think Lena has much to lose really. It's not like Eurovision is a very prestigious event in Germany and she would be risking her great status.

ok its a matter of OPINION
and in my OPInion and in the opinion of EVERY american friend i let listen to, THEY all 100% could not stand her annoying butchering of the language
I can count these friends on 2 hands,so its not many, but it tells me enough to realize im not alone when i say her accent is total crap
i hate when people butcher a language

And i suppose you loved the russian/english of some of our singers (btw when did you move in Kentucky ..and how was your english back then?)
Elena Gheorghe is one example of why people should stick with their own language
Lena's accent is at least accurate

Her accent is interesting and we are speaking about her. If she would sing in normal schoolenglish, nobody would be talk about it.

All I say is: "My hips are ready to glow.."

Lena is singing in a style very similar to the british singer Kate Nash, that means a very nasal british accent, which means that Lenas english ain't bad, just a little different.

Anyway, I look forward hearing the songs in the NF, I am sure that many of them are good! :)

On the other hand she's not trying on American accent, rather British accent. It's not all about the US all the time.

Her British accent is too forced though which is why it sounds so weird.

I want German though, but that will never happen.

aLl i said is that it is MY opinion
where i am from i am free to express my own opinion
and her accent is annoying
ok?
thanks

On short term , you're just a troll with no valid arguments , the fact that you're annoyed by her accent is outdated ,and it's useless to post this thing in almost every post you write

Laaaaaf ohhhh laaaaf, I wahhhna taeaeael juu hau Ei fiiiilll abauuuuut ju....coooohs Ei Oh Ei kant go a miniiiit wissssaut jur laaaaaf.

And everybody.......

To sum it up, I agree that her accent is a big part of her charm and I don't want her to change anything about her singing style. There is a reason she won the contest and I am mighty excited about the songs and can't wait......

However, I don't know, but often there are many people that have an obscene accent. Maybe could it depends from their language? Have you ever listened a japanese speaking in english?

And then, there are many other people that have big problems with english grammar and vocabulary... for example... me!
