I was extremely worried about the vocals after seeing some comments but after watching the youtube video i really find she did quiet decent .Not her best at all but it's not the catastrophe i was reading about. The beginning is great. The end is perfect but the big note was not perfect. She needs to nail it on Saturday.

Same with Sweden and Italy: I didn’t quite feel France. Spain and Finland I felt but each of the songs is so-so.

Only logical conclusion: Germany must win! :ROFLMAO:

My feelings on this are very mixed. At parts the staging is strikingly beautiful. The vocal though just really isn't there (especially towards the end) and the little voice in my head that has always considered Évidemment a less bouncy, much less fun Say Na Na Na is now stronger than ever. This disco pop should be right up my alley but I'm lukewarm towards the package on offer here. This was a song that always needed to be elevated by the performance and they've made a huge stride towards that with the staging but La Zarra really needs to loosen up herself for the final.

I think a major issue for La Zarra in being able to fully let go and fully feel the groove of the performance is that she is literally almost skewered on that podium. I could see when the tech crew wheeled her on and off the stage on Monday night that she was clinging onto whatever pole or clamp is attached to her under the dress for dear life, and that's bound to limit movement to a certain degree.

Also, I was genuinely concerned at a couple of sections when she did shimmy her hips as the podium itself shakes quite a bit, and that must be more than a little unsettling.

This is something I will never get. Why do artists always go for that special extra? Often they are limited in their movements or it’s not easy to sing in a performance that requires a lot of efforts. Most of the winners of the past had a simple staging. The times when a gimmicky dress or masks or dancing LED dwarves with pointed hats led to a victory are long over.

Watching the clip of her performance today, I wonder if she was holding back a bit. It would be possible, because she needs to give it everything at the end of the week, especially during the Friday jury show and the Saturday final

I agree with others. I don't see the point of the podium, it doesn't add anything to the performance and only limits her movement. If they wanted to go for a pedestal, they could have just used a smaller one... the big one doesn't make much difference if she's alone on the stage anyways

As I said many times, that platform is a massive downside for the performance. She cannot even move, and you can tell by her face she’s not comfortable. Plus, it does not let space for good camera angles either. Regarding her vocals, I am not sure if there’s much room for improvement here. It’s a pity, because the official video, as it is, looks great. They should’ve kept that concept for Liverpool instead of going for all that unnecessary stuff.

Yeah, I think this plays massively into the performance. The staging looks dangerous and it's not surprising the performance has this stiffness to it. It's hard to groove when one sultry hip sway too far could send you flying. I felt nervous watching her and I could feel a tenseness in La Zarra. I hope it goes better for the final.

This is what I'm thinking-holding back/saving her voice. Watch her come and nail it on Friday and Saturday

I hope. But seeing that their was no concept behind her movements in waving the left arm all the time in the same way I think she was more stressed than anything else up there. Also please DO NOT ENCOURAGE THE AUDIENCE TO SING ALONG IN YOUR SONG!
If she gets her confident back that she presented on her other live show in a small studio she'll feel the Diva who knows that less is more. I hope.

I just reached a point where I'm just done with FTV and their promises of "well, you know, we're trying our best, we want to win it so bad". Yeah, sure.

Our delegation's members might try to win as hard as they can, but when our HoD just chimes in the whole selection process and tries to have things get her way, then... it's tiring, it's excruciating and there we go - a flawless entry fucked up by a dreadful staging.
