Weak vocals and ok staging from the snippet in the semi final. I'm afraid this won't end up in top 3.. :?

just watched the full performance during yesterday dress rehearsal. still some camera look to fix but it definitely is not bad. probably better than russia (I was realy disappointed by the way the staging looks on tv, so chip...). Go Amir, I still believe in you !!!
So do the juries have to listen to the pre qualified but not score them? If so that's not a bad idea.

This will be lucky to escape bottom 10. Latest instance of fannage's colective hysteria.

The live performance looks very cool actually. Much better than expected. Amir starts off very well. But the last part of the song, which we could hear also in the semi, is not good. He is out of tune. And the last hight tones ... shivers..... NOT good. He needs to sort that out.

I really want to enjoy this entry. Amir is a pleasant performer and the song has one of the best messages this year. But with his inconsistent vocals even this late in the game...France is handing this contest to Russia.

Nobody's handing Russia anything! There's still a few days to work on the vocals before Friday's jury show and the Saturday final

i still believe in it as a French but I can see Armenia taking the trophy over France for example.
Btw i will support it and i don't think the vocals matters that much when I see that Azerbaijan is in the final or Croatia nor Russia had problems to qualify even if their perf wasn't flawless vocally.

I hope for a top 5 at least and I can't wait to see the changes they're making (if it's there any changes)

Well, Amir vocals aren't that bad, in fact it's pretty enjoyable....until he start the hight notes at the end of the song. Edouardo Grassi (France HOD) say he take notes of all critics to be the best by friday night, but already plenty of peoples send him messages, via twitter, to ask Amir to stop the hight notes and finish the song as he does in Tel Aviv, if not, they can all say goodbye to victory, top 5, and maybe top 10. We will see what they does next days, as we know they're making some changes, wait and see, and can not wait !!!

I hope it's clear, my english is not really great

OMG TRAGIC why did they precisely decided to show the end of the song for the snippet  He's at ease with the chorus, but the high notes were messy af :?

Amir can relax because we won't trouble the top 3 with this. Russia may not be the best song ever, but it was vocally on point. Even musically, I start doubting if we'll stand out tbh xthink

There is no way that Amir wins if he performes like he did in the video posted on by ESC on YT (I guess it was his second rehearsal) The backingsingers sounded awful, he seems to be lost on stage, the lighting is boring... I wish the best for France once again like every single year, but please Amir, fix all the mess!

I actually really like this performance :D He's vocally secure in everything but the high notes and that's obviously because he's out of breath near the end from all that running. Hopefully they've worked on his breathing so he'll sound much better on Friday and Saturday :D

People thought Italy had lost all their chances last year after their second rehearsal and look what happened there. France is still in with a chance

Last year Italy and Russia proved that simplicity can still make you go "wow" but I don't think France can say the same this year

I think Amir has charisma but he isn't a "STAR" and seeing the video shows it. I mean just look at Patricia Kaas in 2009. She performed all alone on one of the biggest stages in ESC history and owned it like it was a tiny closet. Everything about her screamed superstar while everything about Amir says nice and friendly. He needed more xshrug

Absolutely agree with this...but Patricia Kaas is in another league, I mean NOBODY who's been alone on stage can be compared with that fabulous performance...there were good ones maybe, but nobody remotely close to her! xlove

I would like France to get a good result but this is sounding more and more like the big flop of the year to me

France Televisions messed up the staging, as usual. The french delegation said that we have not yet seen the finale version. And there's only one rehearsal left
Amir can't sing live. So unprofessional of him since he knew he had problems with the high notes from the beginning. You don't fix your vocals few days before the contest, that's stupid.

Last year we had the singer but not the song. This year we have the song but not the singer
I think we're still going to end up in the bottom 5. Maybe even last. Because let's face it, it will be the worst performance on Saturday night.

I guess we should withdraw. I'm sick of being ashamed every year. All other countries take the contest seriously, except us. France Televisions still takes everything for granted.
