First half, as I expected. If our "favourite status" is taken into account, we will probably be given 11th or 12th place (because Sweden will most likely be surrounded by fillers ), 13th place is possible too, but if another favourite picks the first half (Ukraine or Australia, for instance), I feel like they'll have more chances to get that spot.

I wouldn't mind Amir opening the show (because the song would be suitable for it) if only we hadn't opened the final in 2013 already. Anyway, any earlier starting position would be surprising to me, but Italy and Germany will probably fight for an acceptable slot as well, so... we never know (I remember Israel's and Estonia's dreadful slots last year).

I never saw a Eurovision song charting in so many countries before the final...
Another proof that he is the authentic winner.

If Russia draws for the first half, probably it will open the Grand Final...

You're probably right, if one follows the "good draw in semi/bad draw in final" principle, it totally makes sense (even though I would find it a despicable move considering they're the big favourites to date).

The song even peaked at #70 on the iTunes francophone charts here in Canada, I think this really has the potential to be an international hit

we'll know after the semi if Russia will get a good draw. Estonia had this strange draw cause they saw they weren't contender anymore as Slovenia was. If Russia doesn't get first place during the SF which is possible, we never know, they won't give them a very good spot. Or in the case they're first but with a little margin.

Hello current 3rd place in my top xheat

Yeah, the stage performance is not good enough. Amir alone isn't enough. But it seems that all the big 5 lack to understand how important the show is. It is not only singing. It is more - especially in a year with so many average songs.

After three days absence I ve been able to watch the videos from the second rehearsals. France is definitely letting me down. The colours and the backdrop doesnt really suit the song. Amir all alone on stage doesnt add enough movement visually - even though I can live with this decesion. And then there are his vocals.... hmm...
I'd like brighter colours that would give a more happy feeling to the song.
But this might look much better on the tv screen - I hope.

I can tell you why. It's a simple, yet catchy song with a message of finding the one thing in life that brings someone happiness. It's had great enthusiasm from the French public since its release in January, and for me it puts a smile on my face every time I hear it (as I'm sure it does for so many who love the song too). And Amir himself has a certain quality and charisma that makes what he's singing more believable for me compared to a song like Russia's

During the red carpet show, the hosts said that Amir had problems during his first rehearsal.
When it was Sergey's turn, they didn't mention any problems, although he fell down in his first rehearsal. Instead they pointed out that he is one of the favorites, that he has a "spectacular number", how perfect his staging is and that the Russian delegation had tried to get Sergey to participate in Eurovision for years because he is such a great star. :?

If Russia wins, I will really assume that Björkman and the EBU were bribed by the Russians because if this wins it was not fair at all.

I was following along on the ESCPlus stream, he sounded much better than his first two rehearsals! I'm getting so excited for Saturday now!

My essentials for SF2 and the final, I made the poster using the Keep Calm O Matic generator (the background is actually my bed)
