According to eurovision-quotidien, Bruno Berberes, who is the French Head of Delegation, has confirmed the participation of France in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The French entry will once again be chosen internally.

As Bruno Berberes says, there is no intention to withdraw from the Contest, because this show gets one of the best viewing figures during the year on France 3. Therefore, the country will be present in Baku as well, and the French act for the Contest is going to be chosen internally once again.

Last time France held a national final was back in 2007, when Les Fatals Picards won it, and represented France in Helsinki, finishing 22nd. This year, Amaury Vassili was one of the fan and bookies favorites, however he ended up 15th in the final in Düsseldorf.

It is yet unknown when the French entry for Eurovision 2012 is going to be revealed.

Nice, that they will participate in 2012 :-)
A NF had been nice, but also an internal selection is ok. But I hope for a better song than this year.

Glad it's internal selection again. This method works really well for France, at least in terms of sending good entries. Surely it's only a matter of time before one of them gets the points to match.

I wish France sends Mylene Farmer or Alizee. In case it would be Alizee I wish a sogn produced by Mylene Farmer. Then my vote would definitely go to France. Good luck!

Well his electronic music its so popular beetween the young & old people around the world, so only with his name he can become TOP 5 in the televoting, but let see how the jury will like this, bersides almost all his songs becomes as hit in every radio & is a risk play for France :D

Really? I actually think they will struggle to come up with something as good as Sognu.

What is great is that for a change, we probably won't have a ballad for us but more something pop rock with hopefully quality!
