I had no idea Rapid had been relegated last season. Corruption behind it or lost it on the field?

Strange to see Vaslui being demoted also, considering they had been on European competitions these last few years. Poli Timisoara a bit strange too, though I'm not sure if they had been that good too or if I'm just more familiar with the name because of some players from my country that went playing there.

Targu Mures also a familiar name, think they have been a regular presence on the top division before so good to see them back as well, I guess.

Rapid Bucharest relegated last season after finishing 8th in Liga 1, due to enormous debts. Now they promoted back, but they are noy allowed to play in European competitions for a very long time.

SC Vaslui finished 7th this season, but they got relegated due to debts.

Poli Timisoara finished 2nd in 2011 but they where relegated becaise of a 500.000 Euros debt to Benfica. They won Liga 2 in 2012 but the debt was unpayed so the team ceased to exist. In the meantime ACS Recas (a team from wine cellar near Timisoara promoted in Liga 2), so a lot of players from Poli Timisoara moved to ACS Recas and the team moved to Timisoara taking the name ACS Poli Timisoara. The promoted last season in Liga 1 and now they relegated again.

A good test to see where we are at this point, and I am satisfied with both the play and the result. The defense is functioning very well at this point and there are some things that need adittional work, but nothing is too critical, but the attack needs work, as we create a huge number of chances, but the realization is poor. And in the Champions League qualifications we will not have a luxury to miss so many chances.

There is one more match before the start of the season next Wednesday and the first match in European qualifications, so that will be the last test and a showcase for the future period.

Yes! Bad deal

He didn't seem that bad though! I remember that he was ok at Benfica and had a somewhat successful loan to Racing Santander in-between.

Portuguese top league's draw took place recently. There's a Benfica - Sporting taking place in the 3rd round, not very pleased with derby and away game so early into the championship :?

Personal analysis: Urawa has finally lost their long-lasting leadership to Sagan Tosu after the loss of 2 points in a row. Tokushima Vortis seems to have made a good start at the second half of the season and stole points from higher-positioned teams. FC Tokyo has had a series of winning and become a party to the race to promote to the AFC Champions League. Kashiwa was showing a medicore performance and I was quite surprised about their easy victory against Kawasaki. But their defeat became sort of a relief for the following teams for sure.

Jelen Superliga is finally starting today xcheer Our objective is more than clear, and that is to return the title to where it belongs and, if possible, to win the national cup as well.

So, tomorrow we are playing against Voždovac, team that was one of the most positive surprises last season, but, since there were many changes in their roster in this transfer period, and many key players + the coach Nenad Lalatović left the club, they are now weaker on the paper. Still, it will not be easy to take 3 points on this match, but we must do it. Anything else than a victory on this very start will not be a good start of the season.

Personal analysis: I'm quite sad that Tokyo didn't win this so they could keep on the track. Urawa keeps losing points, let's see if Tosu will widen the gap in their delayed game against Hiroshima two days later. The victory is obviously great for Kawasaki and they have a big shot to win the cup too. Kashima also seems to be trying to hold on to the race winning in a row. On the other hand; Gamba Osaka is making up with the first half's losses, giving no points so far so they also seem to be ambitious to have a place at the top three.

Voždovac 1:3 Partizan

A very important victory in a crucial moment and a great start of the season for us. This was a very tough match, especially in the psychological way, as we were still in the match against :bg: Ludogorets.

We didn't play well, but the team has shown that it has a character. We created many chances which we didn't use, we even conceived a goal near the end of the match, and we were practically in a knock-down situation. But then we managed to turn the tables to our side and, in the end, we scored an effective victory. I am really happy with the reaction of the whole team after the goal of Voždovac. Hopefully, this will be a return to the winning spree and a beginning of one long and successful series of victories.

Congratulations to the players of Voždovac as well, they were great rivals yesterday. If they keep up like this, they will again be one of the most positive surprises in the league.

Now, we can start preparing for our next rival, and that is Radnički Niš. We will play as guests again, and it will not be easy to win, especially as it is a "satellite" club of our eternal rival Crvena Zvezda, but obviously, 3 points are again an imperative. After that we can start preparing for the match of the season against :az: Neftchi Baku.

Full results:

Borac Čačak – Donji Srem 2:0
Napredak – Čukarički Stankom 0:2
Jagodina – Mladost Lučani 1:1
Crvena zvezda – Radnički Niš 2:0
Novi Pazar – Rad 1:0
Spartak Zlatibor Voda – Radnički 1923 1:0
Vojvodina – OFK Beograd 3:0
Voždovac – Partizan 1:3
