One of the most beautiful stadiums in England imo.
Would be great to see my club, Eintracht Frankfurt, playing there in Europa League one day (if SGE + Aston Villa qualify of course ;-) )
But I don´t like the fact, that there are no standing places in England´s stadium. The atmosphere would be better with them imo.

Villa are trying to get safe standing I think... I read something somewhere about it. I agree about the atmosphere. Villa are a long way from being near the Europa League places. We are cutting the costs on all fronts and bringing in younger players, good players but lack experience. Hopefully next year the two years experience with a few new players will get us top half! I see some really good young german talents, and they wouldn't cost a lot... I wish we could sign some.

Partizan 1:1 Vojvodina

There are 2 aspects from which we can look on this blunder. On the sports side, we were below every minimum and we played badly from the first minute . We deserved to lose points. We were extremely nervous from the first minute and it seemed like we just cannot cope with the pressure. On the other side, Vojvodina was very motivated just like I expected, and even though they had a player less from the very beginning almost, it wasn't seen on the field at all. They outplayed us in the first half, we had too many technical mistakes, and didn't shoot on the goal at all. In the second half we had a period of good play and that lasted for about 10 minutes, which is when we scored. And instead of scoring another goal and saving the result, we retreated and started acting like flies with no head. In the last 10 minutes we looked like what we wanted to conceive a goal. And then in 91st minute, totally unexpected, a referee gives a gift penalty that didn't exist for Vojvodina, as the foul did exist but it was on some 18 meters from the goal. And thus we conceive a goal from a non-existing penalty, a penalty that can easily solve the champions race.

And this aspect is actually far more worrisome. This is a 7th match that we played, and in 6 of them, the judges were "accidentally" making catastrophic mistakes, and all of them directly to damage us. In Novi Pazar we lost points when a regular goal that we scored was disallowed, and now from a non-existing penalty. Mistakes in judging are natural when it comes to soccer, but this is something else entirely, as this is a clear tendention, no doubt about that. It is enough to look at how we are massacred by the referees on every single match, and our eternal rival has the privilege that the rival defenders stand still and wait for them to score, red cards for their rivals are falling like raindrops.....and I just get an impression that the referee will put the ball in the net of Zvezda's rival with his own hands.

Sadly, it is obviously decided on the higher levels that we musn't be champions this year, and they basically showed that to us in the match against Vojvodina. But we will fight until the very end and our spite they cannot remove. The match against Javor to psychologically raise after this.

It was clear to see that Bayern gave about 20% effort for that game aha! I like how Dortmund are run as a club and their philosophy, but I think they would have got beaten if Bayern actually motivated themselves

We will see it on 17th May, when the German cup final between those teams take place
I also think that Bayern is better and will win this final, because there is more quality, especially the back-up players are way better. If a starter is injured Bayern can manage it but in case of Dortmund there is a massive loss of quality, because some back-ups have a lack of experience.
I think an essential factor for the problems of Borussia Dortmund is the absence of Gündogan. He is a fantastic player and he was a important play maker in midfield of Dortmund until he get injured... he missed the whole season and nonetheless Dortmund almost managed to beat Real Madrid... so this team deserves lots of respect. Who knows what would have been possible when they didn't have such an amount of injures players throughout the season?
However in extremely hard and crucial matches like a cup final against Bayern, I think they won't be able to compensate Gündogans absence, so Bayern will be the favorite.
I clearly sympathize with Dortmund

Rumours of Aston Villa being brought out by new owners in the summer. Our chairman (Randy Lerner) issued a statement today and didn't rule it out, saying he will say more come the end of the season. It has been a really hard few years for us, we have been on the verge of relegation for three years in a row, and little improvement has been made. I hope if we do get taken over, that we invest sensibly and blood through our (few) very good youngsters too. I'm not a massive fan of blowing ££££££'s on players in a short amount of time like Man City. Only time will tell, but Aston Villa need this, because the club is rotten to the core and needs new investors to gradually turn things around.

Some weeks ago I wrote the relegation battle will be exciting as hell, but meanwhile only three clubs are involved.. nonetheless it will be interesting, because the underdog Braunschweig has the easiest opponents in the last three games, in additon they are in better condition than Nürnberg and Hamburg and probably they have the best mentality... I think they still have great chances to reach the 16th place. Hamburg deserves to get relegated for the big mismanagement in all aspects they've made for 6-7 years

What happened to Rapid Bucharest?

It was a quite strong side a decade ago and now they don't even play in the first division anymore?

They finished 8th place last season but got relegated because of big debts. Now they are 2nd place in Liga 2 and will probably promote next season. The same situation is with SC Vaslui now. They are in Top 5 in Liga 1, but they will relegate at the end of this season because of the lack of money :(
