Midnight, it's time to put your face on
Game set, a killer shark in heels
I'm just the first shot on your hit list
High kicks, a predator on wheels
Woke up with bruises on my body
Hands tied, like Jesus on the cross
Your name's in lipstick on the mirror

Jezebel
I don't know how you got in my blood
Was it the dangerous things you do?
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey
You lick your lips as you walk away
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart
Jezebel

At night you turn into a tiger
A girl who looks like she's a boy
The world's most ultimate survivor

Jеzebel (Jezеbel)
I don't know how you got in my blood (Jezebel)
Was it the dangerous things you do? (Jezebel)
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel (Jezebel)
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey (Jezebel)
You lick your lips as you walk away (Jezebel)
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart

Sunrise, you crawl under the covers
Sleep tight until the dying sun
Tonight you'll catch another lover
Jezebel

Jezebel (Jezebel)
I don't know how you got in my blood (Jezebel)
Was it the dangerous things you do? (Jezebel)
You always wanted to be a star
Jezebel (Jezebel)
If you're the hunter then I'm the prey (Jezebel)
You lick your lips as you walk away (Jezebel)
Your final kiss is to leave a scar
On a heart

There is a rumour going, Isaac Sene performed Kuuma jäbä on May 2021 at Sumner festival. But there is not any footage/video proof about this at this point, so valid proof is missing.

Hurricane and Jezebel are well rounded final products. I enjoy Hurricane a bit more. Simply because it is more melodic.

You know Rasmus that in all rock genres you actually can make a strong melody? It is usually defined with a catchy opening intro and outro. You welcome. 😁

As for the rest, all songs are good and decent, more modern and provocative and well put when compared to other national selections.

Though, I wouldn't send TG I'm an atheist to the ESC under any circumstances. The message, or at least the title, is too divisive for too many people regardless of their nationalities, political or religious preferences.

You really don't want the political talk on religion on ESC press conferences and people there feeling uncomfortable about it.

I'm also pretty sure EBU doesn't want it either, taken that they are into story of promoting inclusive approach by which they put on a stage a journalist with hijab and a nude tattooed rocker (ref to ESC 2021 press conferences). A song that mocks either of those 2 alternatives wouldn't be recieved cordially.

Olivera - "Thank God I'm an Atheist" reminds me of mix between Iiris Vesik from Estonia and VIKTORA from Bulgaria! :D

Paula Vesala and Mmiisas (Miisa Rotola-Pulkkila) will host UMK 2022:

I am in the minority here who's not getting wet over what is going on in Finland, there is a lot of noise around UMK because there is a big name that is in contention. I only care about one song here 'Thank God I'm an Atheist'. 'Jezabel' by The Rasmus is ok too, but nothing much better than their filler tracks (I think The Rasmus had probably only one very good song long time ago and you all would correctly guess which one I mean). I remember recently listening to some of their random songs and they were in the majority of cases 'mah'. I guess I am a picky person ...

Nothing wrong with Paula Vesala, but it’s weird to pick her as one of the hosts a year when her ex-husband and father of her child is the favorite to win.

The Rasmus feels like home. The band was my sister's teenage obsession and I grew up with their music. I'm not a huge fan of the song, and the lyrics are a bit cringe, but it would be a strong entry for Finland.

Somehow I expected "Something Better" from UMK. Cyan Kicks and Olivera are my top2 here. Hurricane is good, well-made rock song but lacks something special. Still I quite enjoy it. Thanks God I'm Atheist - lyrics are really interesting, don't appeal to me in 100% but I find them good in general and I like songs that ponder something interesting and important. Jezebel is ok but nothing really special. I guess other songs are not bad too, I only really dislike Kuuma jäbä. Would be my dead last in Eurovision top right now.

So, Ram pam pam has been dominating Finnish Spotify charts the last couple of weeks. Sun numero has also stayed in the top-10. Jezebel and Hurricane are now outside the top-30, but Jezebel still has a 54 % winning chance in the odds.

Can we please, please, please not vote for The Rasmus just because they were somewhat known outside of Finland almost 20 years ago?

Yeah, you should definitely vote for The Rasmus not because they are famous, but because they have simply the best song of this section. xqueenbitch

I simply hope that the betting odds (since weeks) are right, then I have no problem and can sleep well at night ... ;)

Finland has destroyed so many Finnish language bops in the past, which had the potential to have a top 5 finish in the final, and now they go crazy for the mediocre Ram Pam Pam

I really don't understand this country's taste :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

This morning I decided to listen to an UMK song. I focused on those who for the career that for the Betting Odds are considered the probable winners: The Rasmus. I had in my heart the desire to try again the emotions of the masterpiece "In The Shadows". I have been disregarded. But "being disregarded" must not be, as some Eurofans usually behave, the fuse to detonate a great disappointment made up of caustic words and ridiculous votes. "Jezebel" is a very solid song. “Class is not water” and when the Big of music come into play the expressed quality never disappoints. Obviously “Jezebel" is a well constructed song, well sung and with a captivating sound. If I have to find one fault it is that it fails to fully involve (on this the Blind Channel were much stronger last year). Finland is increasingly becoming a candidate as the home of Rock. In conclusion, Finland, if they choose "Jezebel”, will come to Turin to play for a chance to win. To say that The Rasmus are not favorites would be nonsense or an act of bad faith."

Well if you ask me, "Ram pam pam" sounds good at Finn's ear.

I think it's because it's something you'd normally find in the Finnish pop radios or platforms. To me it actually represents more accurately the Finnish pop scene.

This can actually be their weakness, UMK viewers and voters usually go for something different than what they would listen to in daily basis. Also, most of the Finns are convinced that Finnish language would never do well in Eurovision.
