I'll give this a polite, rather kind 4 points for now. I think it's better than Mikko's song anyway as it actually has something to it. Bored to death of this sound but I suppose it's done well, performed well. Meh, don't really care for it though still and wouldn't choose to listen to it out of choice.

As usual mr. Woods is too kind in his words and voting

Ok then....

I thought EVERY song in the Finnish final was absolutely beyond tragic! Nothing whatsoever worth listening to. The only song that was half decent got knocked out in the second chance round. This song deserves my "1 point" which is one more point than Mikko would gave got from me. WAAAAAAAAAAAxgaah

There we go. Is that better? That felt goodxqueenbitch

Re: FINLAND 2014

The most funny thing though is that I think the juries voted for this because they think it would appeal to Europe more than a genuine song in Finnish... xshrug
I don't think that is the case. According to what the jury commented on Mikko Pohjola's song, they in fact seemed to be of the opinion that the Finnish language was one of the strengths of the song.

Sorry, that the result has disappointed so many outside Finland. Myself I'm quite satisfied with the outcome of the Finnish final. The three songs that reached the top positions were the right ones in my opinion. My personal favourite was Mikko Pohjola, but I like Softengine also. They are very young guys, who have written the song themselves, the lead singer can really sing and the song feels very genuine.

I didn't pay attention to this snog at all, now I have watched winning performance and I like this one..it's fresh for ESC IMO, they just need to perform a bit better (vocally)...I'm sad for Hukka ja Mama, but extremely happy MIAU didn't win.. :D And I'm happy for improvement since last year! Last year was really horrible for them...

This is such a grover..

Till now I like Italy and Finland!

Yes! I rooted for Mikko but this is definitely not too bad either. Great choice, and good to see Finland back on track after last year's song or whatever it should be called.

Btw its interesting how Hanny Sky totally flopped in the final, the juries suddenly didn't seem to like it at all.

I can see the similarity, but I'd say Softengine are a harder rock band - not that they're hard rock, but they don't use the synths that The Killers do. Softengine also have a stronger vocalist.

I love this song; the best yet, definitely. I love the way it builds. By the second verse it's developed a great momentum that peaks with the "All these words" bit near the end. This is the best rock song we've had in Eurovision for a long time and I'm really glad it's Finland who are sending it.
