It started promising then it turns to something we heard milion times on a radio. Quite uninspiring effort. I don't mind hearing it but it comes with one ear and leave the other.
Exactly. Newsflash Finland, you just guaranteed your stay in the semi-final with that. You have to think outside of your own borders.
Newsflash. Selecting the best entry for your country is what is important, not picking something which may be potentially liked by some random dudes in random other European countries.
The most funny thing though is that I think the juries voted for this because they think it would appeal to Europe more than a genuine song in Finnish...
Well I do think that if you compare the studio versions, then Mikko is perhaps slightly better than Softengine. But he was really really weak live today while Soundengine was ok (and that type of songs do not really need strong vocals anyway). Therefor I think it was fair that Mikko lost as he simply did not deliver tonight.
Oh, I didn't knew we were looking at "The Voice"? I must have missed something... I thought we were rooting for the best overall songs/entries here...
Indeed, but Mikko managed to kill his song totally today. That is, I'd say he had the 2nd best song (after madcraft), but in live performance today, i'd say he was only the 5th best. If you have a song like he had, you can't do shiruso like vocals if you want the song to sound good.
I haven't seen the live performance so I don't know... but again does that mean that you can have a crappy entry and win just based on vocals alone? That to me is even more weird when the purpose is to find the best song
