It's not just in Holland. Gary Lineker once had a famous quote about that. ;) And he made a new version of it today:

No, it's not over, both Iceland and Sweden still have theoretical chances, but that last goal for the Germans made it a lot more challenging for Sweden than it could have been... Whatever Germany manages to do against Korea, Sweden needs to do better against Mexico. Not an easy task. I think Sweden is done after the next match. :(

Sweden and Germany both go through if they win with two goals difference. So they both have everything in their own hands. Though I hope for Mexico.

One goal each is enough. Also South Korea can pass with a one goal victory, as long as Mexico wins with 2 ahead

I said to be sure, cause if for example Sweden wins 3-2 and Germany wins 1-0 Germany is out on goals scored.

That's true right. That means Germany needs as many goals as possible on their winning. Sweden passes with a 1-0 anyway. And they will be more than happy becoming 2nd.

It would be sad for Mexico, but I truly hope for this miracle, since Sweden is another country I support

I have this strange feeling Mexico is going out and I don't like it, cause sorry to say this, but Mexico plays more beutiful football than Sweden I think.

I think this is a sign that :de: is getting out of the crisis :D The first half wasn't great but the second one showed a lot of improvements. Really good match from both sides. I think :de: will raise their form in the following matches and yet again will be a strong contender for the title. I hope that :se: manages to beat :mx:. They deserved the next round as well.

:be: was really dominant in their match as expected. Lukaku is at the top of his form xbow :mx: wasn't that impressive but an expected victory there.

All 3 of today's matches will be difficult and very hard to predict. Looking forward to all of them :D

Guess England will make it today. Plus, I am hoping for Japan today. :D
I still have the positive shock from yesterday in my bones. But after looking back, Germany deserved the victory, especially regarding the second half. And I mean, Toni's goal was just amazing. xheat xbow I like both Teams, Sweden and Mexico, but maybe Mexico deserves it more as they are not playing as defensive/destructive as Sweden.

Ooh, right, I forgot that Sweden beating Mexico would hurt Mexico's goal difference too. :D But that also means Mexico can't afford to lose, because they have to assume that Germany beats Korea, so it's still not an easy task for Sweden. But it's not impossible. :)

Great match, England

Regarding group F, I hope Mexico passes to the next round, and then I prefer Germany but would be nice seeing Sweden there too.

And so England will go down in history as the team that conceded a goal against the giants of Panama. Well done

Now I am super excited for the Group H matches xbow

Says the person supporting a team who won the last world cup and now barely hang on by the skin of their teeth. They can have their goal, we still won.

xrofl3 Know what you mean ... but then again, in this WC the so-called big teams seem so struggle against the so-called small teams. So England managed something that others didn't. ;)

IF we should should make it to the next round, we at least don't share the destiny of Spain or Italy after winning a WC. :D
