Congrats, Mexico! Even when the match wasn't the best one, still a deserved victory! Well - so Germany is damned to win - otherwise we can pack our luggage and return home. Hey, then the players have a longer vacation! ;) Really, I doubt we will make it.

Living for Germany channeling their inner England. xheat Wtf was that first half even. What a flop from winning 4 years ago to this.

Shame for Sweden was really rooting for them to win and they probably deserved it. Germany got really lucky there.

To be honest, the last 10 minutes I didn't concentrate on the match anymore because I didn't believe they would score another Goal. Boah. I really Need a looooong sleep this night to recover.

So disappointed. First Iceland lost to Nigeria yesterday, and now Sweden lost to Germany. I really thought they could get at least a point out of this, but I should know better than to underestimate the Germans. Maybe it's a good thing there's Norwegian league football tomorrow, to get my mind off the World Cup for a few hours, because this is getting depressing. :(

In Holland we have a saying:

Football is a game of 11 against 11 and after 90 minutes the Germans win.

This time, they only had 10 and needed stoppage time. Germany on the brink of missing out, but don't forget that even S-Korea have a small but quite realistic chance to qualify if they could win against Germany, so they at least want to play for it. It still ain't over.

It's not just in Holland. Gary Lineker once had a famous quote about that. ;) And he made a new version of it today:

No, it's not over, both Iceland and Sweden still have theoretical chances, but that last goal for the Germans made it a lot more challenging for Sweden than it could have been... Whatever Germany manages to do against Korea, Sweden needs to do better against Mexico. Not an easy task. I think Sweden is done after the next match. :(
