Morocco has returned to the World Cup for the first time in 20 years following a 2-0 away victory in Abdijan against Ivory Coast.

Following the end of the match coach Herve Renard and Captain Mehdi Benatia received a phone call from the King to congratulate them.

Worldcup without Italy is no real Worldcup #ForzaItalia

But it's not fair for :se: to lose another playoff match just because it's :it: + if the swedich team scores another goal, even :it: makes 2, then :se: will QF because the visitor goal will make the diference, also the Italian team will not be complete because Zaza won't be here, unless the public will make the pressure to keep the almost italian tadition of 60 years at WC.

I'm conflicted when it comes to both prediction and hope.

Talking about hopes... I have Italian roots so I feel like I gotta cross my fingers for them also for the sake of my relatives over there. In fact I have much more Italian relatives than German relatives. Countless cousins and so on, I've never been able to keep track of the enormous number of family members I've got there
Moreover, I actually cant imagine a major tournament without Italy. That's like football without a ball. Thats like ESC without cheesy love ballads. One could say Germany can be happy if Italy fails so we dont have to face our nemesis again xcrazy

Somehow, I tend to cross my fingers for Sweden, though. Not only due to the fact I'm usually crossing my finger for underdogs it's also because I love scandinavian countries and I love the Swedish culture. I love the countrysides, their folk music, their girls, their history and the society in general. I've never been there for a longer time, just stayed in Malmo central station over night  When it comes to football I think Sweden has also a good history, taking part in many major tournaments. Right now I love their team spirit and how quickly they recovered after the retirement of Zlatan. Everybody is working hard for each other on the pitch, they play with lost of passion and they are able to defend very well. Moreover, one of their regular players Ludwig Augustinsson is playing for my fav club.

I guess I will cross my fingers for :se:

What would I predict? I guess Italy will actually win the second leg 2-0... however, if Sweden somehow scores things are getting complicated for la Squadra Azzurra. Honestly I dont remember Italy recently scoring more than 2 goals against a competitive team. The last time was probably in WC 2006 when they beat Ukraine in quarter final. Moreover I remember the first leg and Italy lacked of ideas while solid defending is one of the qualities of Sweden, theyve got so many tall defenders, you usually cant beat them with high crosses and thats what Italy for whatever reason tried all the time in the first leg.

Then again, I've always been sure that Italy COULD score more goals if they NEED. They have low-goals-results cause they use to do only as much as they have to do. You will never see them making extra efforts, that would defy their philosophy. Italy has a heritage of mentally strong players... if the shit gets real they are able to play their best, I am pretty sure about it. So if they need to score 3 or even 4 goals against Sweden, they will somehow do it. Regardless whether I like it or not, I believe they will find ways of how to get their tickets to Russia next year

I predict that :it: will win the match and qualify

I am speechless. I can't believe that Sweden has made it through, despite the tough group and the competent play-off opponent Italy. But we made it, it wasn't beautiful, but it was great team spirit. SEE YA ALL IN RUSSIA!

btw... HEJA SVERIGE! xcheer

After there wasn't any nordic team in the WC 2014, we have already two in Russia next year and tomorrow I am sure Denmark will follow! xheat

and sorry for my second country :it: :( Now it's time for a total rebuilding... too many old players there... why wasn't Insigne playing tonight? Some things are hard to understand

I'm devastated. Seeing Buffon come off the pitch like that broke my heart. I've always supported Italy and never imagined a World Cup without them.
 :it: xheart

Congratulations to :se: though.

Wow, now I actually have a reason to watch the World Cup next year! I didn't watch the match tonight, but I am so pleased with our qualification. It's always a great feeling to beat out such a usually successful and powerful country. It's so nice to see other underdog countries rising up as well!

I am shocked that Italy are not trough, but they showed nothing on the pitch! I predict Peru to go trough, and hope for Ireland!
