It's so strange that 16th place... too low, if we think to the real success of that song... :?

A song like 2004, and with the juries around, you'll have a top 3 for sure, if not a winner.

That would be an option, but I'm not sure if it will be enough! xshrug

I really want my country to send a folk/ethnic ballad, but not like the one in 2011, which was very badly produced and performed... Serbia does well with such songs, why not us too?

Finland will win in 2016, just as Norway won in 1985 and 1995, and Sweden won in 1974 and 1984. Then in 2026 something different will happen, idk, Ireland will win again!

Whats about 2005, 2007 and 2010? They are nice winners to and the 3 years-line had just broke because of this, sorry...

In the 21th century had 4 of 5 nordic countries won once so far.
Denmark (2000)
Finland (2006)
Norway (2009)
Sweden (2012)
Thats is only Iceland left, so maybe will Iceland be the final nordic country to win before 2030 and thats will give Iceland their first win.

I am not saying other winners are lame. -___-
Especially since 2006, Mr. Lordi has taken highest point of Eurovision.
In 2009, Alexander has broken and taken more than Lordi.
In 2012, you know right?

Pfff I hate when people read something to find something to fight.

Ahh now I understand, you mean the winners had taken big milestones every three year in the numbers of points and fame.

Silly me... O__o

Please change the title of the topic to "Will there be Eurovision in 2030?". It's like EBU wants to end Eurovision and they do everything to make the countries withdraw and make it look like it's the crisis that's responsible!

Maybe it's time for a real WorldVision Song Contest, not just this we have in this forum! ;)

I don't see Egypt participating when they're slowly becoming the next Iran/Saudi-Arabia... seems highly unlikely.

And that'll be the outcome for those other countries aswell, only Kazakhstan may stay western/"russified" and would accept to enter music shows like Eurovision...

He said Catalonia and Scotland because there are very active separatist movements there. Both will have, and had, referendums for independence.
