Okay I got bored and read the entire topic and I want to thank you guys for giving me a good giggle .
Anyway I think we can all agree that the contest for the most part is unpredictable and no one really knows what the contest will look like in 2030.

Well,i think that we are too close to have one semifinal again.
If the number of countries will be 35 and less,then we will have one semifinal.
In the final will be the big5 and top5 of the previous year.

they will never go back to non-big5 automatic finalists again, you can bank on it. it is a ridiculous retrocess, it is unfair and most importantly they lose the exposure of an extra night of eurovision. if they ever lose so many countries that it becomes too easy for 10 countries to advance from each semifinal, they will simply reduce the number of qualifiers to 9 or even 8.

but that's incredibly unlikely nowadays because eurovision seems to have become more successful since 2014. in fact, i actually think we are closer to having too many countries for just two semifinals. it is possible that we might have three semifinals at some point - which would actually be interesting as it would further dilute block voting and allows them to make a shorter final (6 qualifiers from 3 semis + big five + host = 24 entries in the final like it used to be).

like i'm sort of a new poster but at this point i must wonder if gianlucatomoe is a troll or just tragically misguided. surely most of us do a cursory wikipedia check before posting about results?

on-topic: eurovision will never remove the televote. maybe by 2030 they'll have attempted asinine ideas such as requiring passport number to televote to stop diasporas and creating algorithms to account for block voting or whatever else fans come up with to whine about eastern europeans, but the televote will stay. eurovision will get to its 100th contest in 2055 (in gothenburg, after sweden's 15th victory in 2054) and the televote will be there.

what argument? your proposition was "televote causes trash like malta 2012". the response was "malta 2012 was 11th with the televote and 5th with the jury". like... there is nothing else to say other than to openly wonder about your motivations.
