It seems very strange to have a contest with over 40 countries again! I know it's only been 2.5 years since the last one, but still!

Well, 40 is not that good number of entries.
Remember that it is the 60th ESC, and EBU is trying hard to convince countries for a return.

Maybe are we going to have a surprise...? Maybe 41 countries is without Croatia but with another country? Liechtenstein, Monaco, Andorra, Turkey, Morocco, Slovakia maybe...? :D

I would like Slovakia to return and maybe Andorra. If Liechrenstein debuted, it would be awesome too. And Of course San Marino has to be in!

The most plausible explanation is that according BNT 41 countries are with Croatia given the date of the publication, but as long as they have withdrawn their participation bid in the withdrawal deadline (10th October), now the mark is 40 countries.

Today is the last day for withdrawals.
Bulgaria has already confirmed they will NOT participate in 2015.
We are waiting also the decision of San Marino.

Sad news about :bg: Bulgaria. :(
Hopefully their "provisionally" entering this year and their participation in JESC means there is still an interest in taking part (they surely wouldn't have provisionally applied if there was no intention to take part.)
