No, they can't confirm later if they don't do it today.

Wow! It's after 9 in Ukraine already, they're hardly still in NTU at this stage of the night deliberating whether or not to participate! This is tense!

Or they have already confirmed, but just haven't said anything about that ;) Some confirmations may be announced in the next few days.

So tonight/tomorrow we will "know" how many participants there will be in Austria?

I can't see Slovenia or Poland withdrawing especially after their qualification this year. I'm pretty sure Albania will confirm too. I have a feeling Croatia will confirm especially with Serbia and Bosnia coming back. Ukraine and San Marino I'm not sure about...

We won't know for sure until the EBU release the official list in January (I think that's the month). Some broadcasters might not reveal until a few weeks time, especially those who might pull out in early October.

So 35 countries in Vienna
minus Greece= 34.
14 countries in each semifinal.
Still no good at all for this special occasion.

All greek media today report that Greece withdraws from Eurovision.
Basically Nerit is still not a member of EBU, and EBU told us that they will not make an exception again.

Some people in the latest years, desperately want Greece to withdraw. And ESC has already some withdraws (Turkey for example), so EBU must do an exception at least for some days, until NERIT will be full EBU member. Unless if EBU wants semi-finals with 12 or 13 countries...

Yay, welcome back Bulgaria & Serbia xcheer

I'm very relieved that Israel is in after the unfair treatments the past couple of years!

Some days ago I read a EBU's statement that NERIT structure doesn't match the standard imposed by EBU and they may not be accepted as EBU member unless the parliament don't change some laws.

oh. So it's not looking good? I'm sure the ebu will try make them stay. Especially with the concerns and rumours over Ukraine. Two big players out in one year.
