I'm glad
won yesterday if only for the little fact that
fans seem to be the most primitive people I can remember in a good while. I think the fans pressure really got to the Albanian team and worked out in a negative way. Despite this I liked the fact that the match was tough but never did it get out of hand and broke into fights like I suppose most people watching the game predicted would happen sooner or later.
I've only watched the first half of Wales - Slovakia but I must say I was surprised Slovakia let themselves be dominated like that. Wales could go places if they keep this up.
I have to agree with the latest England team opinions wrote around here. Specially with the part that they chronically consider themselves contenders when they almost never match the boasting to the on field play. The arrogance of certain fans is unleveled with reality to a delusional level indeed. Despite holding this opinion I have to render to the obvious fact that England had that match entirely on their hands last night. But this might just be Russian demerit, their team keeps on looking as desperatly struggling and it is kind of schadenfreude to watch them play. I bet a lot of the older Russian fans want the Soviet Union boarders opened again if only for enhacing their national team chances.
About the players, felt a little proud that Eric Dier matured into such a fine player. We should have held onto him a bit longer and made a huge sale out of the talent built into him. The other remark goes out to Kane. Good grief, he looks like a tool and plays like one. What a losing combination.
Anyway, England and Wales could very well get the first two spots easily if Russia and Slovakia keep showing the same weakness of yesterday. And in all fairness England did seem more of a title contender than France despite giving away 3 points like that.
Predictions for today:
Turkey - Croatia 1-3
Poland - Northern Ireland 3-0
Germany - Ukraine 2-1
Yes, I have that much confidence in beautiful and creative Croatian football
Plus Turkey is the more widespread equivalent of Albania so I really hope and can see them beaten by at least two goals.
Poland should cruise unless Northern Ireland manage to surprise.
Germany - Ukraine should be quite even since both teams are clearly above average talented but in the end I do think Germany have that obvious edge. I think their true power will outshine today as it always does when it actually really matters. If I were German I would not care much for friendly e
bitions although national pride is always at stake.
Unfortunately I will not be able to watch the match since I will be rooting for other Germans (
Rosberg, Vettel) at the same hour as they play.
Who the hell in the F1 group had the ingenious idea of booking races clashing in time with big Euro matches? Like the ratings of one will ever stand a chance to those of another. Delusional Ecclestone
