Mait Maltis - Elu

Managed to record it from the radio. It has been playing on a small regional station for weeks now. Could be a demo version because it has not been officially released anywhere else. It's a bit too long anyways.

ERR 2014 budget update: Eesti Laul and ESC participation are completely safe! Quote from ERR board member: "My clear standpoint is that Eurovision Song Contest has been successful for Estonia and has received positive feedback from the viewers so there is no reason for abandoning it. We should not forget the collaboration with other European national broadcasters. Eurovision is EBU's most successful project."

I'm so incredibly happy Sandra is competing and that she's teaming up with Sven Lõhmus again. As far as I'm concerned, Rändajad is the best Eurovision song ever. She has to win the national final again!

Mmmm Estonia :p

I didn't like their 2012 song at all, but when I saw the performance I was staring at something and it entered my top 10 immediately. LOL! :rolleyes:xfruits:

I don't like any of the songs that I have heard. The best of a bad bunch is Nion - Muud pole vaja

From the released entries, I think only Lenna, Kõrsikud, Lauri Pihlap and Nion have a chance to qualify to EL final.
But most of the promising entries (from bigger names) haven't released yet, so I wouldn't be very pessimistic :)
Sandra Nurmsalu, Tanja, Traffic, Maiken, VÖÖRAD... We might still have some great entries!

Tule ja jää was re-uploaded. Don't know if any changes were made. Probably not.

I was trying to predict the qualifiers but found it extremely difficult as we haven't heard the final 3 minute versions for half the entries yet. Lenna and Kõrsikud from the first and Sandra Nursmalu from the second are the only ones I'd mark down as sure qualifiers at the moment. The eventual winner will be one of those three.

Sandra Nurmsalu is back with a song produced by Sven Lõhmus, the same man who produced the flawless "Rändajad"? xshock1

I know right? He did one of the best ESC songs to date and with the same Sandra... though, he's a hit-or-miss... he's also the man behind the crappy "Rockafeller Street" entry amongst other not so flawless songs

I think as far as the average eurovision song goes, Rockfeller Street was quite a standout although quite different in style from Randajad of course. It was not very Estonian but you can't really always expect that. It was the singer who failed.

This is great news and I'm expecting the best, but I don't want to get too excited as I will never get over what happenned last year to Bulgaria.

Basically i think that all things were good in this entry, but dont forget, that people listened to 4 dance entries together (Hungary-Ireland-Sweden-Estonia)
and some of these had to fail.

I never liked Rockafeller Street, to me it sounded cheap and a brilliant case of where it shouldn't have been in English because singing about a made-up street just annoyed the hell out of me
