I dislike Estonia 2009 completely, I prefer Getter Jaani, and "Kuula" by far! :)

Hahahahaha, "Mamo" and France Patrica Kaas are THE BEST! :) I prefer like these ones, straightforward and clear, and these like Urban Simphony which try to transmit me smth BIG, in the end doesn't bring me anything, I find them to dreamy and pretending to be some art!

I wasn't a big fan of Patricia Kaas' entry though, it was ok but I'm not head-over-heels over it like many others...

Urban Symphony was haunting, but each to their own ;)

I never got such appeal for Urban Symphony entry. I mean the song was nice, but it was never outstanding for me...

I love full-heartedly both Urban Symphony and Getter Jaani (like every Estonian entrant since 2009)

I wasn't either, talk about pretentious stuff... I fell asleep everytime it played. Most people thought it was classy because Patricia Kaas herself was classy, but the song itself was not, it was just boring and flat.

It has nothing to do with our beloved :ee: but since we are there, I really love that song, and it gives me creeps, because the lyrics are really moving, as she's talking about a dying lover in a very subtile way. But for someone who doesn't understand, I can understand it may sound boring, though I think it's really classy.

Kaas said she chose this song because she thought it was the best one (not yet released) of her album. But she said after she participated and heard the other contestants her song was really not Eurovision-wise and she would have entered something else.

I also think it's the most French song we could have had anyday !

I know right? He did one of the best ESC songs to date and with the same Sandra... though, he's a hit-or-miss... he's also the man behind the crappy "Rockafeller Street" entry amongst other not so flawless songs

I don't get why you pick Rockafeller Street as an example of his bad song, when we also have this from him.

Laura looks so young in this performance

Hard to believe that randajad and this both came from the same creative mind. They must be stepsisters somehow

I actually kind of like "Let's Get Loud" in a fun silly stupid kind of way . But yes Rockefeller Street was far better and one of my favorites from that year :)

I think ''Let's get loud'' deserved to win... Barbara dex reward :p
These Mickey-Donald shirts looked so funny/stupid and the accessories looked so cheap!
That song isn't the biggest disaster what we have sent, but these clothes and staging...

Everyone can improve hopefully ! Early attemps off Sven were really horrible !
He also came 2nd behind Sahlene (and public favorite) in 2002 with Another country song of Nightlight duo (which was dreadful  )
Nightlight Duo & The Cowboys - "Another Country Song" - YouTube

He also was Public favorite in EL 2003 with Vanilla Ninjas and their famous Club kung fu (which came last among international jury )
Vanilla Ninja - Club Kung FU - YouTube

And he was 4th the same year with Nightlight Duo (I like their song that year)
NightLight Duo - I Can B The 1 (Eurolaul 2003) - YouTube

And he was also 2nd behind his own entry in 2005 with Laura's Moonwalk
Laura - Moonwalk (Eurolaul 2005) - YouTube

And he was 3rd in 2007 with Laura's Sunflowers
Laura - Sunflowers (Eurolaul 2007) - YouTube

And he was 3rd in 2009 and public favorite with Laura's epic Destiny
Laura - Destiny (Eesti Laul 2009) - YouTube

And he was 2nd last year with Grete Paia
EESTI LAUL 2013: Grete Paia - "Päästke noored hinged" - YouTube

So he was very close from being in Eurovision a lot of times. There are better and worse things. It has improved a lot since 2005

Let's get loud is not a very good song, not that bad though... And Eurolaul 2005 was maybe the worst Eurolaul...

But what is curious with that song is that Sven Lõhmus managed to do with 5 very good singers an aweful singing group. Rebecca Kontus who really rocked the stage solo (she is my favorite of that year) comletely screwed the song from the begining. It was also really poorly produced. The scratching thing... Oh la la !!!!

Those stagings... The all on-drugs fest in 2004, the kitsch superhero in 2006, the nonsensical dance routine in 2007 ("My dear husband, have some pleasure, create a bad dancing act and screw my rock song from Hendrik and Berit Sal-Saller") and the splendor of Leto Svet... Oh la la !!!!

It's nice to put a face on the name although they never look how I imagine them to be when listening to their entries

NightLight Duo - I Can B The 1 and Laura - Moonwalk should have won in my opinion in 2003/2005 (Though they weren't Eurovision top 10 material, maybe I Can B The 1 was, we had a great draw for that song.)

Earlier Sven Lõhmus attempts that I like alot:

Lauri Liiv - Soolo (Eurolaul 1999) - YouTube (but that year's winner was also great)

Soul Control - Life is a Beautiful Word (Eurolaul 2001) - YouTube (but Everybody was right choice - it also won the public vote and slayed the Eurovision) Also: Maiken and Lauri Pihlap are there, who are in Eesti Laul 2014 too!
