I think as far as the average eurovision song goes, Rockfeller Street was quite a standout although quite different in style from Randajad of course. It was not very Estonian but you can't really always expect that. It was the singer who failed.

This is great news and I'm expecting the best, but I don't want to get too excited as I will never get over what happenned last year to Bulgaria.

"Samo Shampioni" has absolutely nothing to do with "Randajad" in terms of style. What a strange comparison.
Also the jury supported "Randajad" (5th) even though in my opinion "Randajad" should have won both the juries and televoters voting hands down, instead of "Fairytale"!

I never liked Rockafeller Street, to me it sounded cheap and a brilliant case of where it shouldn't have been in English because singing about a made-up street just annoyed the hell out of me

Wow how surprising. How could that song have been any better in Estonian? English was right for that song, has Estonian was for "Randajad" in my opinion.

Nah, I hear what you mean, it's just that the English lyrics were so dumb so if I had not understood the lyrics it may have not been as bad

It's not that. 2007's Water from Bulgaria is one of my favourite entries ever, so I was naturally very excited to hear they were in again last year. Pretty much the same with Randajad.

Lenna Kuurmaa - "Supernova" is such a grover!! :D :) Now I love it, not as much as "Mina jaan" but it's AWESOME!!

Wilhelm - "Resignal" is also GREAT! :)

Why you think Lenna Kuurmaa doesn't have any chance to win? :(

I never said anything about her so I guess that question is directed at the "Estonians"?

Did you listen to her entry in 2014 - "Supernova"? :) Do you like it? It's in Estonian language! :)

Ooooh if just she has a chance to win instead of ESC cliche Sandra Nursalu! :( Lenna Kuurmaa is so NON ESCish! I love it! :(

Firstly, no I haven't and secondly how can you say Sandra is an "ESC cliché" if you haven't heard her entry yet? "Rändajad" was NOT a cliché by any means, there has never been a track like that in ESC before or after. Yes, you hate it, but that doesn't make it an "ESC cliché" and in fact I'd even argue that it was something fresh even outside of ESC.

Don't be angry :( , for me it's cliche and nth special, violins, ballad, blah, blah..

Lenna Kuurmaa is AWESOME, soft rock in Estonian language, quite modern, but not to mainstream, quality compositions which rarely appear at ESC! :(

I just don't see what's "cliché" in it, it's one thing to dislike a track but to call it an ESC cliché? I've yet to hear anything like that in ESC (and even outside of ESC).

Oh I understand you. I'm very excited with Sandra, but I just hope I won't be disappointed. It's going to be very hard for her new entry to top "Randajad" for me, but hopefully it'll still be a great song!

But to be honest you never know with these songs. "Paastke noored hinged" is an example of a song that if I listened only to the instrumental I would say it would probably sound better in English, but the truth is it was excellent in Estonian! Estonian is an example of a language that works well in many different types of song, including pop and eletro-pop. Another language that I love to listen to in the latter genre is Finnish, it sounds amazing xheart

If they're smart, they shouldn't try to make a "Rändajad v.2", they should surprise us in another way. Though, I still hope the haunting and mysticism will still be there somehow.

Started to listen to some old Estonian nf songs. I feel really sad that some of them did not make it into esc. For example Kate had really good song (she took part every year from 1997-2000). She made somewhat folkish songs with really interesting lyrics.

And of course I think the best song which has been in Estonian nfs ever from way back in 1996
Would have been one of the few esc songs sung in gibberish. Was only 6 points away in the nf from winning

Why you think Lenna Kuurmaa doesn't have any chance to win? :(

I think she will do well and may win if sandra and traffic end up with really bad songs. But she is unlikely to win, the song has less mainstream appeal than her 2 last ones and I'd say her popularity is decreasing as well.

Sandra is likely to have at least a decent song though. I mean rändajad is not even the best song which Lõhmus wrote to Urban Symphony.

xmusic Older songs from Sven Lõhmus.

If anybody doesn't know other Urban Symphony/Sandra Nurmsalu songs:

I think they are at least as good as Rändajad :)
