To follow up on the astrological prediction, if it is a controversial Southern country, my pick would be Armenia or Azerbaijan.
My personal astrological prediction does not see a country but a kind of song: ethnic, sophisticated, breathtaking. 2019 resonates with 2007 and 1995, when Jupiter was in Sagittarius the last times.

I mean, I never intended to be the person to say this: But who else is super disappointed in the National Selections this year, especially all of those selected songs?

"Super disappointed" is a mellow word for that. With every NF I hope that things become better, but all I get is **** (censored). So what I did today is to relisten to all songs we have so far and tried to compare them. Of course, you can't force yourself to like a song, but let it say like this:I am not in love with all the songs, but I can make friends with four songs. But I am still waiting for my big love. My hope lies on Portugal, Iceland, Germany (?) now. But maybe the Juries will kill everything again. A Dal was my most favorite section this year because I loved so many songs - and what comes out? Probably a song I feel nothing for. Explains the whole ESC 2019.

I actually do have the feeling, yeah. Both will be overtaken by ballads probably. And KEIINO wont win as well. MARUV wont win. Its maybe meant to be like this. That leaves all the internal selections to be the ones saving us.
is out and and probably too after those desastrous Jury-Results. Hope the Caucasus Countries come back in Topform like in Their Beginnings.
Only internal selections can save this year!

I agree. I remember being absolutely devastated in 2017, because after 2016 already, which I initally didn't like, 2017 was again like a slap in the face, one of the worst ESCs this decade. I was in shock about the low quality of the songs until the very last 10 or so were released which consiliated me a bit. But 2017 was absolutely crap.
While I loved almost every single song in 2018 right from the start (what a brilliant contest musicwise!), I had high hopes for this year. But what has been released so far in 2019 is again shocking to me, not in a positive way. Fortunately we have lots of songs to come, hopefully with more quality. So far, this is probably the most underwhelming ESC this decade.
