I can't wait for the running order to be revealed xcheer I post my prediction now to see later on if I got some starting positions right. :D

The first half of semi-final 1 will be particularly crowded and I find it quite difficult to imagine what kind of order they have in mind. Only the beginning might be predictable imo:

01. :az: as an opener
02. :is: as a filler
(the rest is just my take on what the rest of the half might look like. I expect the favourites to be relatively spread out. Czechs and Estonians may perform one after the other provided there's a break after number 5 or 6, while Israel may perform last due to the attention they get these days.)
03. :bg:
04. :lt:
05. :cz:
06. :ee:
07. :al:
08. :be:
09. :by:
10. :il:

As for the second half, Cyprus, Austria and Greece might be given an advantage. The show closer is almost a no-brainer, Cyprus could be a candidate too, but I opt for Finland who are likely to come up with an OTT staging.
11. :ch: might be used as fodder after Israel
12. :am:
13. :hr:
14. :ie:
15. :cy:
16. :at:
17. :gr:
18. :mk:
19. :fi: (I have a feeling Saara will perform last Triana Park-style)

Regarding the second semi, here is what I think might happen. I never thought of Australia opening it, but it might be a viable option after all.
01. :au:
02. :ro: will be thrown under the bus I guess.
03. :dk:
04. :sm: will be a filler as usual.
05.
06. :ru:
07. :md:
08. :rs:
09. :nl: may well perform last imo

Second half is very tricky imo, I'm not sure who the show closer might be. Slovenia is my wish, but either Sweden (for visuals) or Hungary (for shock value) might fit I guess.
10. :pl:
11. :mt:
12. :ua:
13. :ge:
14. :se:
15. :lv:
16. :hu:
17. :me:
18. :sl:

Do you think they'll do a tribute to Katie Boyle and Lys Assia?

I am so disappointed in this year. Most of the hot faourites are not my up of tea and probably I will not be happy with a winner. My favourites are not widely loved, most of them are hated. People seem not to be keen on our song at all, mostly it does poorly in people's tops and reactions. It breaks my heart and makes me hate this season.

Coming back to hot favourites. What is special about :pt: or :es:? Those are poor copies of Salvador's styl for me. What is that great about :lt:? It's a sleeping pill. Why people hate :is: and love :lt:? Although I hate :ee:'s entry, I understand why people love, opera is just not what I personally enjoy. :il:'s song is nice, but I hate those chicken sounds and I don't want it to win, just because of selfish reasons: in :pl: Eurovision is still seen as it was in 2000s, you have to be kitchy. Then we have :de:, which is a copy of hit song by Ed Sheeran, even the lyrics are the same which synonims. Overally, the text of the song is quite the same scheme.

From those hot favourites I would only be ok with :fr: winning, as this song grown on me or probably it would be only standable winner from favourites? I don't know.

I don't understand the hate to :se:. If that song was sung by The Weeknd, people would love it so much, but it's from :se: so it is reasanable enough to hate it. People also seem not to love :ua:, and that is something I can't understand. People complaing about his English, I want to hear them speaking English. :it: won't win for sure too and it's the only favourite that I share with people.

:pl:, our song is what I thought would be perfect for Eurovison. I was so happy when Gromee annouced he applied for our NF and then won it. But of course Europe hates :pl: and like always underrates us. I know that acoustics in our NF was terrible, but c'mon - since when vocals matter in the ESC? Did anyone listen to :de: 2010? or :az: 2011? Even my dear Verka didn't have great vocals. But what people hate is :pl: like always. Again, if this song was composed by Avicii or Zedd, the comments would be different.

It's hard to be happy with Eurovision season this year for me and I want it to end already. Can't wait for December, so we have news about Eurovision 2019 + FiK.

People aren't underrating Poland because it's Poland. People are underrating Poland because the song is generic EDM nothingness that doesn't stand out from the field. Sure it's nice, but it really feels like every other EDM song out there.
What I'm trying to say is the song has no identity, no message what so ever, it's just there. Enough to qualify to the final? Maybe, as it is in the 2nd semi. Enough to be a candidate for the win? Hell no.

Portugal and Spain arent really hyped. Spain is even hated here. Portugal might be a
Contestant for 8-15th Place, but noone hypes this Song extremely.

Lithuania is liked because it is a beautiful, romantic and authentic Love-Ballad
without being Cheesy and Kitschy like Spain or other such attempts (Georgia 2013 f.e.)

Iceland is deservedly hated. This just cant be serious.

With Israel youre right, this would Damage Eurovisions Reputation Extremely and bring
it back to the 2000s.

Germany is neither hyped, nor hated. So I dont get the problem?

France doesnt sound like a winner and is overhyped.

The Sweden-Hate is really ridiculous and annoys me extremely too.

I think People are allowed to complain about Melovins english even if they
arent better, because one should can expect, that all ESC-Participants can
handle the Language theyre singing in.

Where is Poland hated? Many People see it as a likely Qualifier. And yes, his Vocals
must become better if he wants to stand a chance.

Lena had lots of Charisma and her Song didnt need Strong Vocals. Also her Vocals
were far away from being bad.

Ell and Nikki werent the real Winner of 2011 as we all know.

Verkas Song didnt need good Vocals, it was just fun.

I am not saying we are contender to win, where did i say that in ym previous post? + :pl: is always underrated and hated, everywhere no matter what we do. it doesn't matter what we sent, people always complaining about us. I can't hear how is our song generic or dated like people say. it doesn't differ from the new songs on the radio nowadays. Right now I could say Alan Walker has gerenic songs. Really there is no big gap between "Light Me Up" and "All Falls Down". What kind of super message did 'Heroes' by Mans have? C'mon, does the song always have to have any message? Honestly, I'd rather have no message in the song than universal and dated message about not being a toy in man's hands, or "Love, love, peace, peace" like every-second song in ESC...

Well, I am basing on the top I watch mostly + people's favourites here. I see that songs I mentioned above as loved. Iceland I just mentioned, because for me it's the same level with Lithuania - slow song except Iceland has it's 'big' moment at the end. Well, I consider my English great, but sometimes I have problems with pronunciation, but honestly maybe it's my way of speaking, because well, my Polish pronunciation uscks as well xhaha not mention my Deutschkenntnisse xheart

The vocal abilities matter, I just wanted to point out that we had pefromers who couldn't deliver the song properly before and it's nothing new. Lukas isn't really bad at sining, people could listed to his other pefromance, but I understan no one watched other performances than NFs. Can't wait for ESC gigs, so people can find how he really sings.

... and yet in other threads you are complaining when people whine... when in almost every thread I check you're whining about almost every other entry (including this post)... maybe you shouldn't be so quick to project yourself on others.... xshrug

Gromee is NO WAY near Avicii or even Zedd, let's be real here... nor is Sebastian Ingrosso in any way near The Weeknd... I can see what you mean in terms of styles of the entries, but they are more like budget wannabes.... but with that said I do agree that Poland is slightly underrated this year, but the year Poland was the most underrated was 2014... now those biased jury votes I will never get over....

I do agree on :pt:, :es:, :de: being overrated this year though... as for :de: 2010 it was something fresh in Eurovision and a song with hit potential, it shouldn't be a surprise why it won, while I do agree with you that vocals shouldn't be the main reason why an entry wins or gets support, but an entry needs to have something special though in order to stand out.

As for "kitschy", Israel is quirky and fun, and those chicken sounds add to that, in fact if you'd take the time to understand the message of the song and knowing that chicken sounds symbolize telling another part that he is being a coward or a "pussy", then you'd get why Netta plays around with those sounds... being innovative is not being "kitschy" if the end-product is good... but hey that's just my opinion.
