Such a look down. How does it come to be a 3rd world country? Explain it. While all political and economical foundations show Azerbaijan as a developing country, how do you conclude it as undeveloped 3rd world country?
I specifically said Azerbaijan is a 3rd world country the same way Vietnam is a 3rd world country. The term "developing country" is synonymous to "third world" country.

Also, if we're going to be even more technical, the term "third world" is a misnomer in this regard. The "Third World Theory" was actually created in regards to Communism. In this theory, the United States and their military allies constituted the 1st world, the Soviet Union and the other Communist countries constituted the 2nd world and the non-aligned and neutral countries made up the 3rd world. In this theory, Azerbaijan would've been classified (back then) as the 2nd world.

However, it's pretty clear that the original poster is using the word "third world" to refer to "developing country". I will leave the discussion here since it's apparently against forum rules to discuss politics, so I've stuck to merely clarifying vocabulary.

Okay it seems you have been clearly mis-educated at this topic. Today, 3rd world country refers to undeveloped countries.

The term "developing country" is synonymous to "third world" country..
A reference would be good to prove such a claim.

Anyway, no more politics.

Back to ESC. Yesterday Turkish newspapers wrote Loreen previously has been the back vocal of Turkish singer Aynur Aydın for one of her albums.

Aynur Aydın seem to have been in Stockholm this spring for some work (video?). So why not?

Since yesterday I see more and more statements about how juries and how televoters voted, in the chatbox. Have they already released the official data? If yes, could someone please post the links ASAP? Much appreciated! Probably like so many of you I would like to see how Europe has exactly voted....

THE UER hasen't released anything yet, I read the figures of audience shares for 20 countries, but not how the jury or people voted yet. That would be interesting to know. Anyone that comes across this info, please don't forget to let us know by posting a link here! Ta-ra!

I saw jury votes from Finland in the Portuguese eurovision website. I don't know about any other results from the juries :? I suppose we'll have to wait for them to come out very slowly...

If I remember correctly, Italy was the only one to give Sweden nil points :D
Spot on Kristina, Italy was indeed the only country not to award Sweden any points.

18 countries gave Sweden 12 points: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, The Netherlands, United Kingdom.

22 other countries gave Sweden some other amount of points.
