Well my critique is not the number of chords. There are great songs with 3-4 chords, some of which are great Beatles songs.

My critique is that, Euphoria has a melody just in its chorus part, which is repeated 7 times in the song. The song hasn't got any melody other than chorus. That's why I say it has 10 seconds melody. For instance, Beatles - Love me do has three chords but it has a great harmony of melodies for overall song.
Yes, it's different, and? It's very subtle in the verses. That just adds to the mystique.

Sorry for typos and thank you for correcting me. Okay this is your opinion. IMO, Fairytale, Wild Dances and My Number One are the most spectacular winners of the last ten years as they are unforgettable songs.

...and of course they play Euphoria in Turkish radios, but it's very rare compared to these spectacular winners.

How unforgettable are they when you can't even write their titles right?? Loooool, Ohh and Turkey radio is the superior one who decide which songs are the spectacular and unforgetable?

What about Euphoria being the most succesful ESC on the charts since a long time? Euphoria made it to UK top 3 which those unforgetable and spectatular songs didn't make...

BTW, TURKEY'S SONG STILL SUCKS!!! When will you critiqize your own overrated song instead?

Turkey got the 7th place thanks to its diaspora?
So, I guess the diaspora forgot how to send an SMS in 2011, that's why we couldn't even qualify.

I don't understand why you're trying to convert this convervation to a nationalistic debate. It is nothing about Turkish radios or Turkey's "overrated" song. These are my personal observations about ESC winning song. I'm arguing the winner song and comparing it to other winning songs of previous years. I don't understand why I have to critique Turkey's entry. It is not 1st, but if you want you can critique it whatever the way you want.

I don't think Euphoria is as specular as Wild Dances, Fairytale or My Number One and of course it's not as much Waterloo. If I prepare a best of ESC ever list, I definetely won't put Euphoria in this list. Following list includes most of best ESC songs ever I think:

By the way, the best of ESC for all time is: UK, Brotherhood of Man - Save all your kisses for me

]Engelbert was my favourite to be winner[/B]. I think, the most of votes are sent by teenagers in ESC. Maybe that's why Loreen won, and Engelbert came last but one with such a great song.

that pretty much tells us everything we need 2 know when it comes 2 your critique of euphoria

and why do you think Turkey is like the last country to be used as an indicator of what's popular anywhere? I really wonder the answer and the image of Turkey in your mind.

I dont say Euphoria is unsuccessful. It's one of the most succesful ESC songs as you said and charts indicate. I criticize its poor melody and because of that, I don't think it will be a song which is always remembered with its melody as I asserted previously it doesnt have a melody longer than 10 seconds.

It's funny also that you say that Euphoria is only 4 chords, what about Love Me Back? It's the same monotonous rhythm for 3 minutes, it repeats the same melody of 10 seconds over and over again with nanananananananana being the biggest part of the lyrics, how can you say about Euphoria that? LOL

Oh no, love me back is not perfect but it has 3 different 10 seconds melody. and its chorus nananana part is repeated 3 times like in the most of modern songs, not as much Euphoria. It is 7 times. Besides, my argument is not Euphoria is 4 chords. Number of chords is not an indicator for poor melody. You can create millions of different melodies with just 4 chords. Apart from the number of chords, its melody is poor. Please don't fight with me, instead if you would like, discuss my argument to disprove me. and to do that, you need to read my argument carefully. Don't judge me for the things I've not said.

So again, my argument is that: Euphoria has a poor melody, when we compare it to previous winning songs.

Saying that Turkey's entry has poorer melody than Euphoria will not make it stronger than previous years's winning songs in terms of richness of melody.

Azeri journalist and democracy activist Mehman Huseynov, who guided Loreen in Baku, has been arrested by the Azeri police. (Amnesty International) :(

Estonia's biggest dance/club music oriented radio station has added Zaleilah to their playlist. And Euphoria was #1 on their chart last week ;)

^ I hate to say it but I'm not surprised by this :(. The EBU and a major part of Eurovision fans usually prefer to ignore this kind of stories and look the other way.

It's still a bit unclear what actually went down in Baku in this respect but:

1) All actions was done by Loreen herself as a private person.
2) Loreen was careful not to side with any part.

She wanted to help by sharing the press attention through a visit to the organisations.
Loreen's facebook comment about the arrest.
