Yeah bro, i understand. but let me give you example, When USA attack middle east, first they started "brain wash" by using media (newspaper, Tv news and internet). After all president Bush said "we are sorry, we didn't found any missile". Today news are unfair too, because they are under control. Have you ever ask yourself why they decided to write now? Is that only Azerbaijan in the world have this situation? Human rights breaks everywhere. Of course people like you definitely trust media. People who got damage house, they get paid. But media showed that "oh Azerbaijan destroying house for Eurovision". The only problem was they want extra more money and government didn't want to pay that amount. Of course we will destroy unnecessary building and rebuild new crazy project. We want to make not only Baku different city, but also Ganja, Sungayit, Qabala, Quba ... etc.

i don't want to go politic side, but only i can say the blogger who was against government they are free now, of course none of media will not say that ;)

How about event it is absolutely optional. If you don't like it ...perfect. First time everybody gets mistake, but we will learn where we did mistake and we will fix it.

I believe Sweden will do great job :).
Oh sure, lets just not give a **** about the people in Azerbaijan! Lets just move on, who cares about them? Who cares about they had to move just because a one week event. They can always live on the street! Now when whole Europe was watching Azerbaijan, media was there etc. you can't just say '' no its ok because other people have it like here to''. You know there has to be a start somewhere. I'm dissapointed in how Azerbaijan goverment handled ESC 2012. Great stage? Sure! Great postcards?
80 % fake, but sure! Great songs? Sure! Great hosts? Well.. no their jokes were terrible. Great voting? Yes! Great winning song? YES. but how Azerbaijan handle human rights is just terrible.

But what the hell? Why did they show Karabath when Armenia was not in esc 2012? They was just trying to prove that THEY were right. I'm not saying the host country should have the right political mind, i just don't think they should subject tourists, media ETC.

The Azeri propaganda machine was just sickening. What was even worse was that you were supposed to feel good about it, since after all ESC is an apolitical event. Next year I hope to see the most pluralistic event ever, making the Azeri one look like Triumph des Willens.

Claiming that ESC is apolitical, is a political statement in itself.

I'm glad that a country like Sweden won the contest. Therefore next year there won't be any issues in regard to human rights. In addition we probably get a huge show and Sweden will definitely not go bankrupt after the contest

Except you dont have right to buy alcohol from supermarkets there and you cannot go to the bars if you are under 23 in most of places.

Well I don't care. In Germany we have enough cheap alcohol, so we will just bring some stuff with us and drink the Swedes under the table  This would be a good preparation for the next Oktoberfest

What makes you think Azerbaijan went bankrupt? :-D They keep opening new hospitals, new schools, new parks... I saw some of their new projects on youtube that they're planning for 2015 and it looks like Baku is going to be the next Dubai.

Please look up some facts before you '' analyse ''. Its a jury to, not only televoting dear friend. A million songs this year? Euphoria is an original, it can't be copyed and is not a copy.

I loved Sweden this year, but in fairness it does sound as if David Guetta wrote it. It is original for Eurovision, but overall its not that original at all, in my opinion. ;)

1) You can buy alcohol from supermarkets, just not strong liquor. You can buy low percentage beer from supermarkets. The rest you can buy from Systembolaget, of which there are stroes pretty much everywhere and they are open 'til 7 P.M.-ish.
2) The fact that you cannot enter bars if you're under the age of 23 is not due to any law but due to the bars choosing to keep a high-ish age limit because they don't welcome young drunk idiots.

Of course I didn't mean Azerbaijan as they have a huge amount of money due to their oil but rather the likes of Portugal, Greece ... It would likely be hard for them to host the contest in the middle of a recession :?

No, when I say "Dubai" I mean Dubai and not Kazakhstan because I don't know what Kazakhstan looks like. That is why I compared Baku to Dubai. :-) From what I saw it looks massive and so so shiny that it hurts my eyes.

I wish our bars and clubs did this. not all, ofc. every1 must have a place to go out but it wouldn't hurt if some of them did that.

Yeah, that's true. :-) To be honest, I can't imagine Ireland hosting ESC either because of the recession. But like my mom said "a country will always have the money for something like Eurovision even if they're going through a recession" :D

the gdp/capita in Azerbaijan is about a third of portugal and greece, but like any other dictatorships they really dont care if they spend their money to the detriment if its citizens.
