I'll try to comment a little more on the final.
First of all of course I liked Azerbaijan and I thought Safura's performance was perfect. But I actually thought that the choreography (as well as performing 1st) may have influenced the result. The choreography with only one dancer and the running thing was the only element that I didn't love about her performance, and I saw Drip Drop with a totally different choreography and more dancers performed somewhere which was much better in my opinion. And I didn't think about that before, but the song needs a sort of professional listening. Mainstream audience might have just dismissed it as just another ballad and not noticed its differences from those.
Germany - I have to say that I don't like the song and it annoys me and I don't see anything special about it either. But still I don't really oppose its win because the songs I like have never won ESC and at least this year I can see why it appealed to people (and it's better than last years' winner in my opinion). Besides it can be good for ESC if a new mainstream pop song wins and a Big 4 country hosts it.
Moldova - a good performance but to be honest if they're going with a house track they should make it clear by not dressing like an ESC schlager act. One of my favorites but unlike Azerbaijan I didn't really think it could finish very high.
Belgium - the performance stood out although it reminded me lots of similar songs that I've heard before. But I sort of liked it because it didn't sound like a typical ESC song at all.
France - Definitely the most out-of-place entry in ESC this year (in a good way). They had too much butt-shaking in their choreography though. Still, really refreshing, especially from France.
Greece - I don't like the text/vocal part that much but the electronic elements and the "breakdown" are really interesting. Nice to see that Greece can also succeed with a song that has more of their culture and language than a lyra(?)-inspired melody (although I tend to like those songs better).
Turkey - it seems that they changed the lighting as it wasn't so annoying anymore. Otherwise a great performance like in the semi. I guess a nu-metal track taking 2nd place in ESC is some sort of a milestone.
Armenia - too much squeezed into one performance. I liked it more in the music video, although the tree growing was an interesting idea (better than Belarus' butterfly wings. I think if they had opened slower it would have looked more realistic, LOL).
UK - as I said before, having an elaborate stage show just made it more obvious that the song itself was really not special or original.
Georgia - I felt that the choreography didn't really match the song, although it was not bad and it's definitely an interesting concept.
Portugal - great performance and in my opinion the best ordinary ballad (therefore excluding Drip Drop) this year. For once a ballad that was actually sung and didn't feel like a screaming contest (unlike Israel, although sometimes he sounded good too).
Denmark - unlike Germany, I have no idea why did this... song get that high position. It basically screamed "unoriginal". I guess the same jury members who voted for the old-fashioned Swedish etc. entries (last year's Finland was different, so it doesn't count) last few years helped it.
Russia and Serbia - basically no comment. I can believe that there are people who like those songs, but it still looks too much like diaspora/neighbor voting.
Albania - our main commentator kept comparing it to a Britney Spears song and she looked like Kylie Minogue or Madonna in my opinion. Forgettable I guess.
Romania - I'm not sure if it's worth that high place, but at least it has a thought-out stage performance and I guess it's catchy enough. I think the lyrics overused the "fight-night" rhyming though.
I'm too tired to write anything about other songs, LOL. But I really liked all the interval acts (the second semi was definitely my favorite ever). Madcon was a surprise, although I don't exactly like them, and it was interesting to see some cameos during the different country clips (Detlef "D!" Soost, a German choreographer, was the lead dancer in the Hamburg (I think it was) clip and I think I also spotted Ukraine's Verka from few years back). And for once Estonia had a decent co-commentator, Sven Lõhmus (who took part of ESC last year) since he's my favorite Estonian pop music producer and actually could say something professional about the songs (to the fact that he quoted Max Martin, LOL). I wonder why hasn't he been in the national jury. I also liked the fact that apart from Germany, other top entries were really close in points.
