Who was actually EMA jury back then? :D
I don't know, Sometimes they invited esc stars (Marie N, Karolina, Manuel Ortega) Then a bunch of local composers, singers and other musicians, and probablly some rtvslo employees...

Surprised with this choice. I was convinced that We All Poop would win.

But I digress - I actually don´t mind this entry.

This modern type of pop music is not something that I usually like to listen, but this one sounds pretty inoffensive. Its not a hard song to process and it definitely sounds more pleasant to my ears in comparison to "Wanna be like" by Elis, which I just found to be extremely annoying.

This is definitely my favorite dance number from the Czech preselection and overall my favorite song selected so far.

I give it 6 points.

I didn't really sense that at all.

I was probably wrong, though. Seems that barely nekkid dancing music video of Kemama warped my mind a way too much.

I guess you're right. Btw your post reminded me of this video, & i wanted to share. Radek Banga is agreeing with you on racism.

"Look at us, we have sent a gipsy entry, so we clearly can't be racist!" as the ultimate Czech excuse, that sounds very close to home. :) Radek is such a direct and inspiring person, I really admire him a lot. Thank you very much for sharing this very interesting video! I must return to it later and watch it in full :)

Thats a good decision. I think with a good staging it can reach the final.

Would you care to explain it to me a little more, please? I am not even sure I got Euro Neuro's message right, and Rambo leaves me completely baffled, I can't tell if he is just trolling everything or he has some other intentions. Do you read anything in that face of his while Radek is talking besides "I am listening but I really wish I could just go home and ride my donkey"? What am I missing?! :D

He's so complicated actually...I really can't read why jis face was tahat way this time around, but it sure is a funny situation..

Regarding "Euro neuro", yes i think it was both trolling an ESC (in a very good and witty way imo) and also some negative aspects in Montenegro as state, it could also refer to Serbia, the Balkans.. :)
He personally claimed that it is a song about an ordinary man living in a 21st century.. :)

Tumblr, mostly.
Victor Escudero: "hello there, Rambo could you tell us what your song is about?"
Rambo: "it's about euro.... ne-euro :)"
Victor: "..."

Rambo's one good moment, before submitting us to the world's most disastrous TED-talk.

THE GOOD:
-It's not a bad song, overall.
-The instrumentals make the song for me, although the vocals aren't bad either.

THE BAD:
-Is it reggae? Is it R&B? Who knows?
-I was a bit bored with parts of the song.

THE VERDICT:
I think this should be a lesson for all participants: If you're going to do a somewhat non-pop genre as your entry, please commit to one genre (or, at least have that genre as your primary genre). I've said in the past that if you're trying to please fans of two genres (or more) of music, you end up pleasing neither of those. While this is a decent entry by the Czechs, I would've leaned in more on the reggae side of the song. This could've been better. 7 points

Don't think it's great, not terrible tho. If the other songs in the semi final are weak then it could qualify, but right now I don't think it will be in the final.

4 points.

Anyways, it's a good entry, it still has a lining with Benny's other work and I can't deny it's catchy. It has a decent to big potential as a televote magnet. I'm still a bit concerned about the jury's verdict since as of now it doesn't have any clear structure whatsoever (hard to distinguish the chorus). It's 7 for me.

SIDENOTE: Especially that it's in Semi 2 it adds a reason of that semi being the semi to be excited for.

I'm interested to know from you guys, which of these scenarios would you have preferred?
A. Barbora wins in 2019 with True Colors and Benny wins in 2020 with Kemama
B. Lake Malawi wins in 2019 with FoaF and Barbora wins in 2020 with White & Black Holes

C. Barbora wins in both :) (the second time possibly after having brought the contest to Prague :D )

Jokes aside, I would probably go with B. I like Friend of a Friend more than Kemama. I also think WaBH is the bolder option with Barbora - it could have flopped hard, but it could have also done very very well. True Colours could have pulled another Gabriela Gunčíková, especially with the strong lineup we had in 2019.
This is an interesting idea btw.

It's not a bad song per se, but I just don't see anyone bothering to pick up their phone to vote for this. And it's not a jury magnet, either. I could see 4 juries placing him in the bottom 5, and even if 2 juries happen to admire the song and place him in the top 5, which is a relatively low possibility, he could still get zero.
The staging will be the determinant factor here, and we have zero idea about that since the NF was not televised, so i find it difficult to judge the act overall.
A generous 6 for now, with the right staging it could go up to 8.
If I was the HoD, I would select Barbora internally. It screams 'jury top 5' to me.

This is a guy willing to sing upside down, flying a freaking balloon we're talking about. I think the staging is gonna be great, I am only worried about his live vocals.
