This is a guy willing to sing upside down, flying a freaking balloon we're talking about. I think the staging is gonna be great, I am only worried about his live vocals.

Saara Aalto sang on a wheel revolving 360 degrees around and finished second to last overall. The staging might be jaw dropping, but what matters above all is that the staging FITS the song. Does Kemama have that potential? I doubt. I hope i'll be proven wrong.

Well, to be honest I expected something much worse. I´m usually not a huge fan of this genre, but for some reason the rhythm of the song got me and I had this song in my mind for some time. When the song progresses it gets a little boring for me, I´m also missing some kind of climax, but otherwise I´m surprised in a positive way. It also fits really well in the theme of this years contest, "open up", so thanks :cz: for opening up. xup

Due to the weaknesses I mentioned and because I´m still not a big fan of this style of music, I give this entry a good :6:, with some potential to go up.

I certainly don't apply it to myself of course. But then I also feel I know a lot of people here well enough from over the years. Maybe I'm lucky I just stick around here solely. I don't look on twitter or other dodgy places where that kind of evil ugliness is brewing (actually I have experienced it within the Wiwibloggs comments box). I feel like people on this forum at least just aren't feeling the song and some are. But then you didn't even mention people here anyway in your comment but the fandom in general. I get you though sis and am with you.
Don't worry, my comment is more direct towards the eurovision fandom in general instead of escunited members.

It's not like you have to like every single song sent by a person of color because they are not white. They wouldn't like that. I'd hate to see people praising my work just because I'm latina.

However, if you dislike basically every single black artist and their songs or whatever they associate to "black people music" (please never do that), there is definitely something going on.

I don't know which entry made Czech Republic so high in the odds. But now they dropped to 17
Olga and Elis Mraz.

The current odds are based on Betfair, which is not a real bookie but a market place where people trade their bets between themselves.
People hyped us high in there becase the NF was good and now they are bringing us down because they are disappointed their favourite didn't win. It's pointless to look at it now.

I don't think it has to be any single entry in particular. People could just first think "oh, this is a really strong NF" and when the selection is made, whoever wins "nah, this entry is actually not that good". I think we would have dropped no matter what. It's the variety that made us strong, however I don't think there was an actual entry screaming "this will win".
As nofuxCZ points out, everyone was probably hyped for something different.

I understand and appreciate this perspective, but bookies don't just play for kicks. Czechia completely botched a decent chance. I suspect the bookies were very worried about White & Black Holes.

They don't play for kicks (or I'd have to find a different employer ;) ), however...

Which is not to say that I completely disagree - White & Black Holes were in my opinion quite a threat indeed :) For a top 5. For winning the whole thing, I am not that confident.

I did not like this song choice AT ALL. I do not think it stands a chance against other songs, for which reason this year is a flop for Czech Republic. Unfortunately, there were many great overshadowed alternative songs this year that had enough potential to win.

From what Ben said in the morning show today, it's almost certain there will be a revamp.
That would be a big relief, because right now it's just fodder. I understand that a lot of people like it, but there's surely going to be another song quite like it with actual melodies and something fun going on and Czechia is just a sitting duck right now. If they want to stay ahead of the competition a revamp is definitely needed.

Even though betting odds aren't saying much at this date + it's based on the winning chances and not the actual rank but personally, I believe that #17 is the highest placing the Czech Republic could acchieve with this entry.

I love this, really makes me feel good xheart It's a bit repetitive and flat in a sense, but I think the beat makes it dynamic enough... And god damn what a vibe it is. Czech Republic once again has a modern, good entry and representative. But I do think a good revamp can uplift this even further, if they keep it simple still.

I'm really not a great fan of this song at all, I think it's certainly in need of a revamp if it stands any chance in Rotterdam.

I'm getting hyped about the revamp.

However, speaking with regards to the material that we have at the moment, it's such a pity that the winner of this year's most challenging NF is placed last (or bottom 2) in almost everyone's top.
