Besides the spoken part, the 'making love' line is so awkward to me and I can't get over it.
The worst thing is, he seems to use it quite a lot in their songs, someone needs to eradicate it from his vocabulary pls.

(I do like this song tons more than their Eurovision entry though. xshifty Honestly I like all of their other songs more than this one.)

Huge downgrade compared to last year :( Sadly, I don't like it at all.

2 points for the effort.

When this song first started playing, I thought the vocalist brought it down badly, but he's since come to grow on me. This piece is hella catchy. It's sort of like a Charlie Puth track, except with more of a crude, quirky charm that makes it really stick out in a positive way. It's not for everybody, I suppose, but I give it a solid thumbs up!

The chorus totally loses me, I... didn't expect it to go this way. I can't connect it to the verse, for me it's not catchy at all, just annoying
I may seem harsh, but overall it's quite a bland song with just a simple succession of verse-chorus without any variation whatsoever. If we take the already selectioned songs, all of them changed things a little in the second part.
Actually, I may not have picked it up if his chorus was more than a repetition of "Friend of a Friend", it's the whole downside of this song.
For now I give it a 2, it's my least favorite entry. We'll see how it goes with the revamp.

Exactly this was mentioned in the interview (no build up or excitement in the second part of the song) + also the speaking parts. We'll see how the revamp turns out :)

This song has grown on me so much already, it's ridiculous! I can't seem to get it out of my head and I'm humming either this or "Zero Gravity" all the time.

So, we have 8 songs so far and I'm already in love with two of them. Usually that takes longer, so I'm hoping for a very good year...

I don't know if I love or hate this song.

What I'm sure is that instrumentation really get on my nerves. It completely ruins the few positive things about this entry.

What the...they are really good live!! Their performance in Vidbir in Ukraine was really nice, I could see the Czechs surprise us positively again! :D
And Jamala apperently is a big fan!

The lead's vocals are very crisp and clean live. This definitely needs something happening on stage, but maybe not too much, just have him interact with his bandmates

Holy moly … live they are Pretty good … at least so much better than I thought and much better after the NF chaos (Oh Raiven …) yesterday! Might upgrade this in the poll.

"Привіт Україна! We are Lake Malawi from the Czech Republiiic" iconic xheat They are growing on me a lot and it was indeed a great performance. A competent experienced yet fresh and likable band with a good likable live performer, not that far behind from Mikolas at all. Czech Republic should become the new Sweden in Eurovision honestly, I think they have major potential if they continue down this path to keep grabbing these top 10 spots and maybe even a win. xshifty I'm loving seeing their artists embrace this competition more and more and it makes me excited for the future years.

Czech prospects looking better with each country that has chosen so far. And live, the song has much more energy and punch than in the music video. I might upgrade from 7 to 10.

Not to spoil the fun, but Jamala had the exact same reaction to Manel

You ruined everything xsnooty

Seriously though, I liked the song from the beginning and I'm glad that Albert can sing this. The performance was a fantastic mixture of being adorable and awkward at the same time  This will be fun in Tel-Aviv and hopefully qualify.
