Mixed feelings. My theory is that from the three previously rumored artists, ČT picked Dasha, then she gave up due to her pregnancy and ČT started seeking another performer for the already picked song, tailor-made for Dasha. Gabriela Gunčíková is great whenever she sings some Tina Turner/Bonnie Tyler type of material with her husky voice probably cultivated by millions of cigarettes, but this... It´s too smooth for my taste and for Gabriela´s standard. But who knows, maybe I will correct my opinion after some time of listening to it. And after listening to the other songs, because the first five or six released songs were such a disappointment for me that I almost lost my interest and skipped two or three weeks of following Eurovision.

Sweden sends this song with Lisa Ajax or Molly Sandén and you'll say: WINNER, THE BEST SONG, SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! xballon xballon xballon xballon xyaay xcheer

Czech Republic send this song and you say: Uhm, bland. Boring, plain, it doesn't have personality...

I... I just don't understand...

That theory is probably true, someone posted in the other forum, that they found article published on SVT website from 18th January, where our entry was actually revealed in a sidebox, it said "Tjeckien - Dasha - I Stand - Sara Biglert och Christian Schneider".

Actually a beautiful song with a great musical arrangement.
The chorus, however is a little disappointing. I expected a better chorus after the verses

This is giving me goosebumps. I hope she'll slay her way out through the competition, taking the revenge for last year and taking the contest to Prague.

I don't see any winning song in the MF this year tbh.

Okay, the 2nd listening leaves me a better feeling about 'I Stand', reminds a bit the chance the norwegians had this year, called 'Afterglow'. But once more I say, it's a tough competition for CZ in semi 1, and they better get drawed on #18, because only then I can see people voting for it, since the chorus alone is not memorable enough imo.

I'll probably cry if this doesn't qualify. I hope the juries give it a lot of points.

I like it. It's outside my own top 10 but it's among my desired qualifiers from semi 1.
I think the song can qualify but it will be difficult considering the competition and the lack of reliable voting buddies.
I give it 8 points.

Sometimes music is horribly irrational, and this song, which gives me none of what I usually need to get behind a ballad, hits hard. 12 points and welcome to my top 10 again, Czech Republic.

Wow! This must qualify and be at least top-10. It's one of my faves this year, for sure. The only problem is the verses, which are much weaker than the awesome chorus, but still this deserves a big TWELVE from me.

PS- Wondering now if I should change my flag again since this gives me goosebumps like the Croatian entry. Luckily :hr: and :cz: have the same colours in their flags
