A Belgian eurovision site is also reporting that Croatia is not participating in Stockholm.
They received an email by HRT where they say it's because of poor financial status of the broadcaster...

:shock: Hypocrisy by HRT on its highest! :shock: Also, by all previous news, I can't say I'm surprised, but I'm deeply dissapointed and can't believe it is true one more year without us at esc! Ok, we really needed break one year after all that disastrous in period 2011-2013 but yet another year?! Third in a row?! That's too much and no reason for that! No explanation for this, they simply do not have right to making such decisions on their own! I'm so shocked and truly dissapointed! I can't wait for political change in my country! And everyone who knows me also knows I do not take side in politics! So only reason is: GET BACK CROATIA AT EUROVISION! I will so celebrate day when Radman goes away!

Know what´s funny? They are sending all these information to all the eurovision websites around the Europe (inluding EscToday), yet they are completely ignoring fans over here and are not telling us anything. There are still no news about participation on Croatian eurovision website.

Yeah, they don't have enough money for Eurovision, but the have for their salaries and craps like Maestro.

Know what´s funny? They are sending all these information to all the eurovision websites around the Europe (inluding EscToday), yet they are completely ignoring fans over here and are not telling us anything. There are still no news about participation on Croatian eurovision website.

Exactly what was on my mind about those craps...and do not mention their choice of movies, tv shows, etc... And of course, football! Or they can organize big festival in February or Porin show and not Dora??? Who they are joking?? Or they have millions for The Voice (it is good but we speak about money now)???

But what is most sad, I believe some people on HRT want to go at esc...I really think that Aco Kostadinov would try with The Voice winner, otherwise why he would say it for media last year that they have it in plan? But then appear that Radman who cuts every chance! I guess he is on my irritate list even above our politicians (Pam will understand this)! SOOC

Alright, so for everyone who doesn´t understand Croatian, this is what the article says (in short sentences):

It is still unclear whether Croatia is going to participate and the decision will be brought soon.

The article also says that it is either going to be 2 OPTIONS: Nina Kraljić or no participation at all!

To folk who understand Croatian beyond the few words I have: is there some nuance to their "undecided," or does it really just mean that they haven't yet made a decision? Because if it's the latter, then that's definitely a step above where we were a couple days ago!

Oh dear...we are in Croatia...Current HRT director is there by political connection. If current government loses elections then current HRT director (who blocks Croatia participation at esc) will got change as there will be other director (by other, opposite, political line) who hopefully will have anything against eurovision . Btw, Ksenija Urličić, best Croatian HOD, was there too by political line and she criticized many times decision of Croatian non participation. Anyway, when situation at HRT changes, I believe there is reasonable opportunity for Croatia to come back at eurovision in 2017. Hopefully.

p.s. If all of this sounds like non-sense (and yes, it is non-sense) just have on mind one thing. This is Croatia, ovo je Balkan (as Milan Stankovic would say)! That's how things funcionate here! You can't get job if you are not member of some political party. Once I sweared to myself I will never enter any party and I rather will go to build my career in other country then live here (if I can't make success and normal life by my abilities in Croatia). As much as I love my country. Unfortunately.
