Totally agree, members, juries or whatever you call them must be free to choose the song from any time period they want.

Sorry Seb, but unfortunately, the fact is that FSC Spin Offs are always centered around a theme, chosen through a poll. You can choose Portugal, but you must stick to the theme of the FSC Spin Off. This is a clear limitation.
Then he is welcome in te FSC Spin-offs

This is my point of view. I have nothing against your ForumVision or CCC at all, but I would rather participate in LSC, because it is something different and new, than in ForumVision 2.0. I got the point that you want to create it for RoW and WL, but I'm not interested at all (and I think other people as well). I can participate as Belgium in FSC and as Australia, France,... in the spin-offs. I was happy with the suggestion you wanted to create a new sort of contest, but for me it needs something new and I really like the SpZ's suggestion.
LSC can't be a part of the NSC / LSC spin-off, because the concept is totally different: based on languages, not on countries. (FSC and NSC are both based on countries).
This is not the only difference + Spin-off is a smaller scale
then LSC can be NSC Spinoff or FSC Spinoff too

Still, I remain of the opinion that two of the contest have the right to be, and they are very different to choose between them. Each will have its own audience

I'd like LSC, but only if the songs in specific languages would be chosen from the country's official language
So for example, I'd like to listen to an Australian or Canadian song in English, but I wouldn't like a Swedish or Dutch song in English

Not being able to choose every month a different country is also a big limitation. Depends on what you find important, I guess.
