It's very strange to me that we gave 0 to Greece, that never happened!

"We"?? Do you mean this year's 50/50 split points? Not strange at all when the jurors placed it around 20th or lower. ;) In the previous years this would not have mattered with a high public vote.

But Malta is one of those countries Azerbaijan is making promo tours every single year, for instance Farid's promo-tour to Malta. Moreover, there are great relations between our delegations so I think that Maltese jury also votes for Azerbaijan and vice versa.

This year Farid also did a successfull promo tour to Lithuania where he even sang 'Hold Me' live together with Lithuanian chorus.

Is the Azerbaijani delegation the only one which goes to Malta for promotion? Nope. In fact, many countries do this, and yet Malta always gives Azerbaijan the 12 points, hm...

That's not too surprising to be honest. The second semi-final was watched by about 150.000 Germans in contrast to 8+ million viewers in the grand final. The die-hard Eurovision fans who watched the semi-final probably didn't like Norway as much as the common Germans who watched the grand final.

Thanks for explanation.. :)

Thats not strange, thats impossible!

But I'm GLAD, and I told you that there was a possibility this year that Greece will get 0 from us...and that San Marino will miss the final, but you didn't listen to me, you even insulted me! :(

Ali tvoja stvar, tvoj obraz! :)

the song wasn't good but the performance was excellent. Our diaspora voted for us,there aren't two opinions on that score ,(at least for us)

I voted for it too! The first Armenian entry I can like and vote for! :)

You also get pretty high points from Azerbaijan you hardly receive from many other countries, so no complains

Ohhh Germany gave Romania 7 points in semi-final but 0 in the final  THIS IS A SCANDAL! EVERYONE CHEATED!
Please people, is it really useful to take a look at every shitty point? At the moment some people smell scandals behind every corner! For me it seems like there are some sore losers out there.

Anyone find it strangely funny all the countries reporting problems with their votes ("We voted for said East country yet it didn't show") are only from the East/Balkan countries? What a strange coincidence.:lol:

Have any Western countries reported the same yet? Denmark beat Azerbaijan by only 47 points is it possible there was enough problems that a swing could actually change the winner? I doubt it but I think the margin would be smaller.

But Azerbaijan - Malta thing is really fishy, can't deny that!

And Hungary, why one year jury don't stop Hungary giving 12 to Azerbaijan?? :/

Excuse me? WTF? Poland received 4 points in total from Azerbaijan over 4 years...

Sorry, man, but like it was noted in the first post, 12 points from Malta to Azerbaijan EVERY SINGLE YEAR since 2008 while the countries are not connected culturally, historically or by diaspora, and the fact that many countries go to Malta for promotion, is indeed very strange and should be investigated.

I meant Serbia gave 0 to Greece!

Hi dear CC! :)I was in Malmo Arena for the final, I enjoyed Cascada so much.. :) I got a Cascada badge and flag on Wednesday after 1st semi when they performed together with other BIG 5 countries in the Eurovision village, and I took them to Arena for the final, I really can't believe Germany is that low placed this year, it's fishy! Arena was on fire! :(

I suppose it would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of the votes of some countries this year to the last two years or so. xthink

Yeah I know this year had a different jury system but considering all the complaints by some countries this years results might stick out as different in comparison to the previous. xshrug Despite the new system some countries probably should have more similar results to previous years and they don't (if their complaints are correct).

The tours are totally clean and understandable, but the "good relations between delegations" as a reason to vote for each other is called "lobby" in my town, which is not really positive.

By the way, this case was released in Finnish news today.

Azerbaijan do brilliant every year because they know who their main points base are and they actively go out (through promotion) to make sure they get recognized (Azerbaijan ALWAYS goes to Malta). They basically do what Obama did to win the 2012 election, press hard on the base even if the independents are turned off. Because they know those people will definitely vote for them no matter what so they directly go to those people first. Its just smart cause trying to appeal to the soft voters is going to get you nowhere. Azerbaijan play the game like a political campaign and its neither illegal or cheating.

In 2011 Azerbaijan received 7 points and in 2012 10 points from Hungary. As for Hungarian jury, I have no idea, you should raise this question to them.

So what happened with the Montenegrin points?

The country apparently gave Ukraine 12pts (both tele & jury) in its semi, but 0pts in the final (but 12 to Denmark & 10 to Azerbaijan - both the entries that ended up before Ukraine)...
