I don't mind the song at all. I just hate the live performance. That circus performer is unnecessary, the New York city/ Gothic church background is WTF, and the dress and (lack of?) makeup makes her look like she's in her 40s. If she styled herself in the same way as the video and had a piano on stage instead of that tightrope clone of herself she'd be much better off. It's a lovely song, but I still think 2012's entry was better.

I hope that it will be like Safura at 2010... xpray xpray xpray

that's being too optimistic

Azerbaijan does not care this year. I think it's all on purpose. They have neglected Dilara (look at the dress and make up). Everything about this year's entry is lacking, which tells me that Aze does not want to do well.

Does Apple have people in the USA building their iPods? ;;)

What are you trying to say? I just want Azerbaijan to send some native stuff, and not Swedish-imported songs EVERY YEAR. It's like not having Azerbaijan at all, but 2nd Sweden.

Well this sounds ridiculous to my ears (az doesn't care about esc ). But from the other hand I can understand why they don't care this year... it is such a pitty the song is really good

I do agree on that, but kudos to Azerbaijan for being aware of their strengths and weaknesses. They might not have decent songwriters, but they generally send decent quality stuff. Some countries have been in Eurovision double the time Azerbaijan has, and yet they still has no clue about why they rarely ever qualify. I don't mind the writers being Swedish, but as long as there's some Azerbaijani spirit in the song, it's fine. 2012's a great example, and the instrumental in this year's does give a slight flair of Azerbaijan.

What is Azerbaijani in it? It's just another random western-sounding ballad. And this just makes the Azerbaijani entries look fake.

The odds are not looking good for Dilara, but I just feel something about this song. Dilara sings it with such passion and with emotions, I think she is going to get a lot of jury points and do better than everyone thinks.

I hope that Azerbaijan gets their first time finish outside of top 10 tomorrow. I don't think that they bought juries this year and draw is also bad.

I don't believe in bad draws.
In 2011 :ba: had the unlucky starting position #2 and got the most :12: in the final.
In 2005 :mt: got a 2nd place with the starting position #3
Also, in 2012 :al: got a 3rd place in juries, resulting in a top 5 position with the starting position #3
In 2011 :dk: had the starting position #3 and finished 5th, 3rd in juries.

2011 is a whole new kettle of fish. people were able to vote throughout so it was much more even voting.

The song itself is good and I do love it but the reason the odds are horrid is because of that performance! We can't forget that horrible performance she did

This in particular, see I agree with you on the "not believing in bad draws", however I must stress that everyone you pointed out did a much better job performance wise than what Dilara put forward...

Dino Merlin was spectacular
Rona Nishlu, although the public did not care for it, did an amazing job filled with emotion and power. Something that Dilara couldn't do it her life depended on it
A Friend in London was also miles ahead of Dilara
And last but not least the beautiful Chiara who could outperform Dilara underwater gave us 'Angel' and she delivered that song perfectly.

So I do believe that Dilara will perform the way she did in the semi, with an ill-fitting ugly dress and no make-up whatsoever, and performing 3rd she should fall out of the top 10, or even 15. (unless they buy votes again)

@Andrian I think that they have see the results of their performnace and they will try to imporve it. Dilara was great vocally in the partys and in Nehterlands and I think that it was only a bad day. Hopefully it was given to her a chance to bring out her best. I hope that she will use this chance to bring a great result to her country.

greece I hope so! Because I do genuinely love the song itself but it just annoys me when it seems like countries don't seem to put in any effort in the semis when they know they will easily qualify. And change that dress Dilara! PLEASE!!

I don't think that they don't want to be good in the semis just something went horrible... But if want PashonFrut said is true then they maybe let it like this... But I don't believe that they want to stay out of top 10
