I love the song, but Azeris 3 minutes in first semi was far the most borring part of both semifinals so far.

Matt: This is going to be a difficult race for Azerbaijan and may become their worst result to date. It was an improvement from Tuesday with a bit more passion but it's not the kind of ballad to stand out between all these upbeat entries
Ahmet: Voice is better in Semis but the song is boring. I don't understand why she is smiling too much, it seems odd for this kind of song.

Dilara is looking very beautiful in her long red dress. I have to admit that while I was in the Arena for the semi final, I didn't pay attention to this song at all, I was watching the girl on the trapeze all the time! She was, and is now as well, BRILLIANT! Dilara is vocally very strong, the staging of this couldn't be simpler, yet it looks so good! It doesn't need any pyrotechnics, and no fire, even though that is the song title, and I'm happy they skipped all that. This was a very beautiful and classy performance.

This has been the biggest disappointment. How can a song that nearly reduced me to tears at one point fall so flat on the tv? The most beautiful song Azerbaijan have ever sent with one of the worst (thankfully Safura is forever there to cushion your fall) performances, both vocally and visually they have ever sent.

Dilara's english is atrocious and unbelievable, vocally it's very off-putting. This year you had a beautiful song. All she had to do was stand there and sing but instead they have gone for kitsch with awkward staging. URHHHHHH

The song itself is good and I do love it but the reason the odds are horrid is because of that performance! We can't forget that horrible performance she did



This in particular, see I agree with you on the "not believing in bad draws", however I must stress that everyone you pointed out did a much better job performance wise than what Dilara put forward...

Dino Merlin was spectacular
Rona Nishlu, although the public did not care for it, did an amazing job filled with emotion and power. Something that Dilara couldn't do it her life depended on it
A Friend in London was also miles ahead of Dilara
And last but not least the beautiful Chiara who could outperform Dilara underwater gave us 'Angel' and she delivered that song perfectly.

So I do believe that Dilara will perform the way she did in the semi, with an ill-fitting ugly dress and no make-up whatsoever, and performing 3rd she should fall out of the top 10, or even 15. (unless they buy votes again)

Maybe the semi performance was just so very different from the atmosphere in the video, that it seemed to be so unfitting for her? For the vast number of viewers around Europe who sees her for the first time tonight, it may be a totally different story. I want Dilara in top 5, but I realise it will be unlikely. A top 10 result for sure though.

They said she was their best friend out of all the participants.

It's not weird, I've always found she had something really French in her manners, her style, her voice... She could be really at her ease in Paris, no one would notice she's from Azerbaijan (except if she arrives with her yellow 1001 nights costume of course 3)
