Really poor performance :( I've started to like the song, but now I'm back again at "meh". The whole acrobatic thing made no sense :/ It was kinda weird

Disappointed with this performance. I expected something different and better. The problem is probably Dilara. She lacks of voice and charisma for this song. I'm sure now Azerbaijan is dealing with their worst result. Not a big deal either...

I love this, but I think Dilara has a huge problem with her Engish and doesn't translate well to us. I wish she could sing in Azeri, I can't begin to imagine how beautiful it would be. Her horrible accent is ruining everything :(

Beautiful, haunting song near ruined by atrocious pronunciation. I've been listening to this song for months but I can honestly say I still barely know a word of what's being sung.. and I remember reading the lyrics before, they are quite clever and well written but when Dilara sings it, the meaning doesn't get across.

By comparison, we all know Valentina has a strong accent but every word tonight came from her heart. Dilara's song is too fine a song for such poor English. I feel it loses a lot of sincerity from it. It's a shame as I think she's quite wonderful and the song is stunning.

Valentina's accent is, at least, very easy to understand. She speaks English after all.
Dilara, on the other hand, just sounded like she memorized the lyrics of her favorite song in a language that she doesn't speak.

Anyway, she also lacked stage presence. I was looking more at the acrobat lady who was almost always on the background, than her who was on the foreground.

Dilara has an amazing song, in studio, but the live performance was just blegh. The whole thing seemed off to me. Her pronunciation is just as bad, if not worse, than Polina Smolova in 2006 (Belarus) and the way she was presented on stage looked unfinished. The make-up, or lack there of was off-putting as it looked as if they run out of time or it was a rehearsal and the dress was ill-fitting and strange. The nude illusion on the front of the dress was really strange and you would think that the Azerbaijani delegation would have seen how it looked during the rehearsals and they should have rectified it.
Considering that, I do like the song and this did deserve qualification but if they don't at least try to rectify the lows in the performance in the semi then I don't think they should fall in the top 10

I thought Dilara was adorable and the red staging was beautiful, but that performance was the biggest buzzkill in the semi. SOOOO BORING!

She's been terrible tonight. I like the song but her performance will leave the country with its worst result in history (and out of the top 10 for sure).

Honestly what happened to this performance? The music was more loud than her voice xshrug. I can say millions of theories about this "accident" but let's say that it was an accident. Her accent was fine, I don't think that all the people can talk with English accent... then everything else was perfection... With a better sound it will be in the top 10 for sure.

The beautiful studio version isn't quite translating to the live stage. I can't quite put my finger on it

I'm so underwhelmed by Dilaras performance last night. My favourite song destroyed. :(xcry1 Someone has been feeding her or/and her team all the wrong advices. The act has lost the nerve and magic that made it stand out.
What is she doing smiling into the camera? xgaah

She needs to keep her secrets, stay mysterious, dangerous and beautiful. Please, scrap the act down to its former simple amazing purity, Azerbaijan otherwise the dark hole of a placing below 10, 15 or even 20 is waiting for sure.

I'm very disappointed this year ... 2013 was so strong compared to 2014, there were so many great songs and singers. And if I compare this year's entry to Farid's from last year there is a day and night difference. I know, you can't expect a great song from the same country every year but a lot of songs these year are lacking. Semi final yesterday was utterly boring.

Still sounded great, always liked it. The most deserving winner probably of the favourites. Unlikely to win as countries win with weaker songs normally, so the middle of the road Running Scared wins and this far classier effort will probably do less well.

I enjoyed the performance, my only problem is her pronunciation. Nevertheless this is still one of my favourite Azerbaijan entries.

Out of 16 songs yesterday I enjoyed only Sweden, Ukraine and Hungary. Even fewer songs might appeal to me in the second semi. This year is really weak :(

I was so annoyed with both Armenia and Azerbaijan for not wanting to sit next to each other in the press conference. They actually had to rearrange the cards putting Azerbaijan at the end of the able. So if there are two countries that can't put politics aside, it's the two I just mentioned.
