Good luck with the juries tonight Dilara and Azerbaijan. I'll vote for this year's favourite song of mine and you tomorrow. :)

Am I the only one worried for Azerbaijan? Not worried that she might miss the final, but worried that she might not do that well in the final. Can she miss the top ten? Somehow it doesn't seem like the usual top notch Azeri production. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but her rehearsals don't inspire a lot of confidence in me.

The song is instant and very beautiful. The choir added recently makes it more powerful as well. Sure qualifier and top 10 in the final. I haven't seen it doing bad in any polls, except maybe among schlager-fans. It also got this timeless quality which can appeal to any age group. It is by far the best song this year IMO.

I think if they get an early draw in the final this year, Azerbaijan could do quite badly actually. The song is quite forgettable...

When you listening to it, it's a decent, fine song. But the moment it's over, nothing, really nothing stays in mind from this. Same thing for last years azeri entry. Apart from the title, I can't remember anything.....
Apart from this, her live performance is weaker than I thought when I heard the studio Version. Still she's a good singer, but for me she lacks the special something.
But I wouldn't worry for Azerbaycan regarding the final. They have been in every year, I see no reason why this should change this year.

Oh, I agree with you about the song. Gorgeous. Though, I could live without the backing vocals they've added recently, it's still my #1. But I've been consistently underwhelmed by their rehearsals.

With that said, Dilara sounded really good at the jury rehearsal a few minutes ago.

And I agree with you as well: :D

The choir makes the song much more powerful, but the exquisite simple purity which made me love the song at once at first listen, is gone. I don't know what to think about this. It's somehow a bit like playing safe. I still love the song but I think they lost the winning chance. Sure, keeping the purity is to expose yourself to an Anna Bergendahl fate. I love the colours but the acrobatics is superfluous.

Proably being quite bold with this prediction but Azerbaijan should be more worried than usual. Still a qualification.

Prediction: 8th

THE BIG QUESTION IS:

Do you think Azerbaijan will give Armenia points, the opposite or both? There's so few countries in the semi so it almost feels like they will..

I think I am going to vote for this today. I am just blown away by the rehearsals and the added background singers. Can't see any other song beating it for me.
