I'm hoping that Azerbaijan are not entering this year. Guessing from the quietness they're withdrawing this year from shame.

I wouldn't be sad to see them withdraw. But then i wouldn't expect them to withdraw, considering they do well (despite possible cheating) and Eurovision is very popular in Azerbaijan. I guess its kind of hard to accurately guess. It could be on the cards with the broadcaster because Azerbaijan have had their reputation decimated by this all. They joined to promote Azerbaijan, and its completely back fired on them and gone the other way.

...but what reason would they bring up for a withdrawal? Surely they wouldn't stoop down to a 'oh we've cheated' level and walk out?

Well its hard to kind off accurately predict. I'm sure if they want to withdraw because of all that has gone on then they will find an excuse to leave that won't involve cheating. Joining Turkvision/Asiavision instead?

Could be... something along the lines of 'our brothers left, we must join them'!

In a way, I'd miss Azerbaijan as they had some good solid entries (although imported) - the big dilemma would be, who will receive our 12 points???? xshock1xshock1xshock1

They were decent songs - my favourite being 2009. However i still would of prefer Azerbaijan to put some effort in and write one of their own.

Malta, Malta, Malta. Dear Little Malta. The Answer is clear. Give them to the UK. xsing We have a great history, you're in the commonwealth and we love to go on holiday to Malta. We usually exchange points anyway! xwave You're like a 2nd Ireland to us. Little less reliable but still dependable for some points most years. We could have a Greece-Cyprus thing going. :D xwoo

In 2011 Malta gave 10 points to Italy.
In 2012 Malta gave 10 points to Italy.
In 2013 Malta gave 8 points to Italy.
So,you still wonder which country will take 12 points from Malta,if Azerbaijan is out?

Screw Italy. Those points are ours. *diva click* points can easily be altered.

Italian music is IMMENSELY popular here, - it's on the radios all the time + we get Italian channels for free (Rai etc. making San Remo 'followable'). I'm 100% sure should it revert to televoting only, our 12-points would always go to Italy.

Split votes were never revealed, those are just my assumptions, plus, like I always said, Azeri artists came here to promote a couple of times during prime-time TV shows, so it's natural both countries' entries are favoured in advance.

I think most of us realize by now that the constant 12's from Malta to Azerbaijan is not really connected to Azeri acts doing some promo in Malta... in fact it's probably during those promo trips where one part of the delegation spend some time with Maltese tele companies and the other part with the Maltese ESC jury members... $$$

Especially in 2013 it is not strange that Malta gave 12 points to Azerbaijan. The song was a favorite to win and they took 12 points from countries like Austria and Hungary or 8 points from France.
For me it is much stranger that Swedish jury gave the 15th (!!!) place to Azerbaijan and that Danish jury gave the 18th (!!!) place to Azerbaijan. For me this is something that EBU should look into. As they should look into the 12 points Ukraine gave to Belarus. But giving high points to a song that came second is not a problem IMO.

I think most people have been realizing the Azeri tactics by now, there's no need in making up excuses any longer. Although, I'm not saying that Azerbaijan never deserved any success or any 12's, but those constant 12's from small countries (like Malta) are problematic indeed and the constant accusations of fraud doesn't just come from nowhere.
