Back to the topic, I read today that "Alone" might be the Azeri entry. Is that right? I really hope it isn't cause it's a snoozefest. A little copy of "Gravity" but sleepy. I'd like something really authentic from Azerbaijan for a change

Ok, you are right. The whole system is dreadful, so what? What can we do? To start the revolution? The only possible way to change the attitude is to change the government, which is hardly possible. Moreover, 99% do not care about the contest, most simply ignore it or just watch the final in May. So what is the point of discussing this over and over. We are perfectly aware of the whole situation.

So what you're saying is that the government wouldn't want entries in ESC made by Azeri people? That's odd but ok

I like "Alone", but I don't find her outfit and outfit of violinists suitable to her type of vocal somehow...btw vocal is GREAT..and I generally like both compositions - "Impossible" and "Alone"..

Who is songwriter for "Alone"?

It's kinda obvious from their 2012 hosting that Azerbaijan want to make themselves seem more important and I'm sure this is why they import their entries, to be successful in Eurovision.

I thought that the care a lot about Eurovision because all the people here just say that you do it all for the winning....but as I can see the Azerbaijani people are very different from this and that's great

No, not the people, of course. The people turn on TV in May ( if they do it) and watch it without having the a single idea by whom our song is composed.

I believe you at all.But the people in believe that you are horrible people who care only for take a good place in Eurovision with foreign composers...And something that I hate is that they are sure for this cheating story (but just don't talk about it)....
I know really few people who like here...and it's really sad thing that the people hate a whole nation because of a fake story from a song contest...

I actually thought Azeris cared alot about Eurovision too

Atleast it's refreshing to see some Azeris that aren't satisfied with how the entries are chosen, and not just all these people who see all criticism as attacks on their country... on contrary wanting actual Azeri entries show an interest in Azerbaijan as a country more than supporting imported entries

That's so sad and so wrong. This irrational hatred is always completely indefensible.

But on the other hand, Azeri side should make a bit of auto-criticism. I mean, they tried so hard to do well in ESC to spread a great image of the country all around Europe. They've achieved great results in the contest, but the image of Azerbaijan is seriously damaged in Europe (and some years ago most Europeans were not able to pronounce nor to find this country in a map). This clearly says Azerbaijan has done something wrong here.

Well maybe the people who aren't satisfied are Eurofans and they don't just watch it..
But as I can see from my discussions with Azerbaijani people the most just watch it and because of this they think that the people dislike the country and not that they don't like a song..

Who dislike Azerbaijan? Criticizing their broadcaster's choice of entries or how they handle ESC is not the same as disliking the whole country and its people...

Not sure what "fake story" you refer to, but EBU themselves pretty much confirmed that there's truth to the discussions about cheatings... so there's no point in denying it anymore.

Well you are probably right...but I can see that the people start hate after this story
Before this everyone (at least here) thought that they are just lucky or the juries like them...

Well if you see (but because of the language you can't) the comments in Greek OGAE in the article for Dilara only two guys from 31 comments like ....the else hate them and they find them horrible country and they hate all the people from Azerbaijan....

It's really really annoying...
