I actually need ballad, I gave 10/10 to 3 uptempo entries - Poland, Estonia and France, I want ballad for 10/10 now!

*Yes Sanna, I'm looking at you*

Anyway anyway...I just hope that the song won't be "Impossible" because we are going to sleep....it has nothing to do with Sabina's song, thought

Don't waste a great singer :az: send something good as you did every year (except 2 as well)

What i meant was,we never saw a musician singing his\her own song from Azerbaijan. After 2008,it was always a young singer and lots of professionals from other countries. It's nice to be successful, but success isn't everything. You can't win every year.

You make it sound as if you can send a cucumber and get it transformed to a well-accomplished performer. We can conclude that your definition of a true musician is different, but it doesn't make this particular person in question -Dilara, less of a musician. ;)

Being a singer doesn't make you a musician.

Imo musician is an artist, someone who actually creates art, not just lend their vocals on someone else's work.

Because it looks like this.
OK all the Azeri singers had talent but they were not themselves, they all looked like European wannabes and sometimes, you need to accept who you are.Azerbaijan is like a teenager, can't accept its roots(it's the same for Turkey).

Again, that's your definition of what a musician is. Art is a broad term, you cannot conclude that someome is not creating art by one simple fact. Art is different for everyone.

Of course it's my definition, but art is actually about creating something though...

However, ESC is filled with singers who haven't created anything, but the problem with Azeri entries are that they are calculated imports which aren't even true representation of Azerbaijan and aren't showcasing the work of Azeri talents.

Who you think they are might differ from what they think they are, so to expect someone to behave according to your beliefs is a bit delusional. ;) People cannot be put in boxes of nationalities, because everyone is different.

It's the choice of the juries, they want songs that are in line with the rest of the world. I mean we live in a globalized world, what would be a right representation of any country. That being said, I appreciate ethnic songs and I would too prefer a song in Azerbaijani.

I was always wondering if the people who say that have ever listen a song in Azerbaijani....

But Eurovision's main concept is about representing your country, and it's one thing that the entries are trying to sound as if they come from another country, but to not even let locals make the entries but simply import a finished package? I mean what type of representation of Azeri music is that? What is Azerbaijan actually showcasing Europe "hey we can buy an entry from Sweden... look how global we are" ?
