Songs by Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. will also be performed under the title "A Tribute to Frank Sinatra".

Almost anything can be better than the 2020 entry so Austria is one of the countries that imho benefitted from the cancellation of ESC, giving them more time to come up with something good and learn from the mistakes.

At least that's my hope... the 2020 entry remains in the bottom of a pretty weak ESC line-up.

To be honest the musical quality in Vincent Bueno is so low, it's quite shocking. Okay he can do his thing, I don't mind, but him again or Eurovision, ufff... I can't listen to any of his songs for more than 10 seconds. Actually Alive was his best song by far, I could live with it and I expected it to do okay at Eurovision but things can only get worse for 2021 with "musical background" and "anti-racism lyrics"...

Oh, I actually have no idea about his back-catalog, but if "Alive" is the best he's done (and he is very one-note) then yeah it doesn't look hopeful... and here I was trying to be optimistic

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the grandmas would find that ultra generic song "modern and cool", so I wouldn't be surprised if he'd be top. 3 in the jury vote in the semi at least...

Actually, the whole world is on the same page with it. U said it all. I couldn't have said it better. Even Austrians agree it's horrendous entry. U were so so lucky esc got cancelled. In my opinion, if it wasn't for cancelation of esc, u would lose a respect of whole europe including . Europe would never take you seriously after that including . It's not that orf doesn't try to send most horrendous, embarrassing entries (coughs woki mit dein popo), but "alive" would be a breaking point. We'll see what happens with 21, but u still have vb in 21. Hoffentlich es wird nicht so schlimm und peinlich fur AUT sein.
I normally try to avoid this thread cause I don't want to contribute to it and besides rarely anyone comments on it except ofc folks, but I had to write this one.

PS ontopic, I'm very curious as to how on earth is it possible that vb got verified on insta with 7k followers. I've seen accounts, olympic champions, celebrities with 200 000+ followers who are still not verified. Mind boggling.

I guess it's the same procedure as last year.
In spring ORF runs its new show "Starmania 21". I bet they present the song there live with hints of the staging as they did with "Limits" at "Dancing Stars". When you compare the staging of Pænda at "Dancing Stars" and the actual staging at the ESC, there were much similarities regarding the light settings.
