Amen, I guess
You said that it's time for us to put
Our love to rest
Dressed in black, you left my neighborhood

No, I never thought you'd bury me and you
No, I never thought we'd die

But amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?
Amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?
Amen

I bet it's just another funeral to you
But for me it's the end
A marching band are playing gone too soon

No, I never thought you'd bury me and you
No, I never thought we'd die

But amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?
Amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?

'Cause it all feels like you didn't even try
Oh try, oh try, try to save us
All this time wasted on a lie

But amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Amen, amen, yeah
Are you getting what you wanted?
Are you getting what you wanted?
Amen

uhh seems promising! At least more than last year! They also have the same stage director as Cyprus this year! I hope it's a good song, cause semi final 2 kinda needs it hahah

Marvin Dietman is Austrian and has been the stage director for Austria many years now.

OK so one producer produced: Delirium by Isabelle Otrebus, a couple of Donny Montell's song including the esc song, John Lundvik's My Turn (a terrible song imo haha), Micheal Rice's Bigger than us, Greta Zazza's Like I Love You and some others.. so he is kind of a hit or miss imo..

Nobody can hype it like me. That's why Ezio loves me so much and I love him too 💙😷

You are way more hype-worthy than Vincent Bueno himself or a second-rate songwriter.

The only song that I would allow Vincent to perform at Eurovision would be something alike musical theatre with Andrew Lloyd Webber as song-writer. Pop doesn't suit him. It's all mediocre and doesn't take flight.

Well, ORF demanded a more musical-like approach from him. They will get it. I'm sure he isn't happy too.

Like most of us I dont really understand why he is making that kind of music. especially rapping really is something he should not do. or at least dont expect a bigger audience listening to it. he will never become a pop star. musical, swing or jazz that is something he can go for. he can be very funny as well. however I hope his performance in rotterdam will bring him to somewhere he feels comfortable at.

I dont think so.

Why not? They are having a hard time finding potential contestants. And this show is the perfect pool for new faces.

Let's not forget, that many of Austrias contestans in the last two decades started in ORF talent shows: Conchita, Zoe, Nadine, Vincent, Trackshittaz, Eric Papilaya,

That was before Eberhard Forcher was responsible. And he is not having a hard time finding potential contestants. Of course it is possible that the next contestant could be one of the starmaniacs but I know that Eberhard Forcher prefers artists that are in the business already.

Hmm I heard something different in the "Merci Cherrie" podcast. I mean: Is Vincent an A1 pop artist? No. Austria has so much to offer, especially alternative pop artists. But the Paenda "disaster" closed a door, that was slowly opening.

I thinkt it's honorable that Austria wants to send full rounded artists who write their own songs, but I feel that's a difficult thing to do right now.

Paenda is a story on its own. She was chosen last minute, after the original act withdrew a couple of days after they were chosen (King and Potter). Their song was in the austrian charts later. It was Eberhard Forchers wish to bring Vincent to the ESC. I think there have been better songs for 2020. With Thea Devy and Drew Sarich there have been at least two well known artists in the selection.
Not sure if Eberhard Forcher still will be in charge next year, actually he retired last year. Maybe they will change something next year.

A no-news piece but for documentation, thanks to ORF and Varro Media

BTW, there are good omens for Austrians with the first name Vincent 😉
