Amen, I guess
You said that it's time for us to put
Our love to rest
Dressed in black, you left my neighborhood

No, I never thought you'd bury me and you
No, I never thought we'd die

But amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?
Amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?
Amen

I bet it's just another funeral to you
But for me it's the end
A marching band are playing gone too soon

No, I never thought you'd bury me and you
No, I never thought we'd die

But amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?
Amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Is this what you wanted?

'Cause it all feels like you didn't even try
Oh try, oh try, try to save us
All this time wasted on a lie

But amen, amen
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Tell me, is this what you wanted?
Amen, amen, yeah
Are you getting what you wanted?
Are you getting what you wanted?
Amen

I'm looking forward on Vincent's entry just because it seems to be something drastically different from his 2020 entry. I don't think it will be met with good receptions, though, but it's more because of Vincent rather than because of the song.

I can't get enough of comments for Ticks and vb all over social media and I'm loving it. I need popcorn. I kinda feel sorry for them. Obviously wrong choice of profession.

Jesus christ! Let's pray shall we. Haha

That is one interesting title. Will we finally get a Christian pop on the stage?

Since ticks isn't allowed due to ebu rules to bring every devil, demon, 2 demons from Ticks team can wechsel to vb team and be part of the staging. xrofl :)

is this even allowed? Isn't Amen like a religious thing? it is used in everyday language also in non-religious context so yeah it probably is. Not that excited about this tho

There is no rule against religious themed songs and there have been a bunch of them in the contest already.

If we take Israel for example, they won with "Hallelujah" and sent a song, also titled "Amen", in the 90's. Serbia won with "Molitva" (which means Prayer), also Slovakia sent a song in the 90's called "Modlitba" as well singing "Hallelujah" as part of their 2010 entry (best Eurovision entry imho). Croatia sent "Marija Magdalena", referring to a biblical figure and Latvia sung about "Only Mr God Knows" , so bottom-line there is nothing in the rules against that.

Also, in times like these, we all need a little bit of God in our lives, Hallelujah and Amen to that xpray

If this actually will be Christian Pop I'm all here for it if it's done in a nice way, problem is I'm not sure Vincent is capable of doing good music, his 2020 entry was pretty awful so I'll have to wait and see.

One of my favorite songs ever is what I guess could be labeled as "Christian Pop", but yeah that's a female vocalist and I highly doubt Vincent would come up with something this nice.

... anyways, I doubt it will be blatantly religious, probably will just use the word Amen but not a deeper meaning to it.

Feel free to have my share, I have had quite enough of God for several lifetimes - as, imo, many others here might have.

No offense to (borderline) Christian pop though, it can be exciting when done right, and Molitva is a masterpiece for sure.

Eberhard Forcher on FB after criticism and suspicion of religious content

"Who said something about religious content?"

The song will be released the week after next week.
