I wouldn't want to have gay children neither, because then I wouldn't become a grandfather. But then, I am already gay, and can't have children myself.

And honestly, being gay comes with so much struggle, self-loathing and harassment. Why would I want any child to suffer this? That doesn't mean, Vincent wouldn't be a loving dad. Whatever led to this conclusion of his, character assassination is vicious. What if, the straight majority decides that gay people are character assassins and should be punished? It is a bad bad move.

Still, Vincent has to show up with a song that I like.

I'm really underwhelmed with the choice but it was pretty obvious that after Paenda failed probably no other more original Austrian artist was interessted in doing Eurovision. I would love to see Lylit or Mavi Phoenix but I know that will never happen.

But I do remember Vincent from that musical show and he was really talented. I don't see a lot of personality right now but If they have a real uptempo banger in the bag he can sure do better than Paenda.

Don't know but the first seconds in that video on the orf.at site totally sounds like stuff Symphonix would do.
Right when Slayvi Phoenix sent a new video today xheat

First of all. The only thing that bothers me in your first sentence is that u used 3 negs. I didn't know that being gay in Austria is so hard? U learn new things every day. character assassination, wtf?? Well, he should have just kept quiet. Also, please don't spam us with that novel lyrics text. It's just huge and covers whole page. I'm sure neither users or admins like that.

The song will be presented in March. I wonder if ORF tries to be one of the last countries to reveal the song.

:(

I'm happy to live in Denmark then, where almost nobody sees a problem with being gay and even have children. We are in 2019...:?

Wasn´t :dk: actually the first country in the world to introduce registered partnerships for for gays and lesbians in the late 80s?? xthink

Netherlands was the first country to legalise gay marriage. Denmark was the first country in the world to give legal recognition to same-sex couplesin 1989 :)

Ah okay. Luckily I can marry here in :de: as well since 2017, and the country is still standing, unlike the horror scenarios many "conservative" idiots predicted to happen.

the demo starts with a piano part, a little "jazzy", then it goes into a part where he goes " ohoh oh oh" and then the upbeat part (chorus) starts. i guess it's supposed to get the crowd going but i just really dont like it, i think it's cheesy and the melody didn't stick with me. but as said i hope the changes and the new production made a big improvement, who knows...

Vincent Bueno: "Eurovision Song Contest is like the Eurocup for musicians and singers"
.
Oh my goodness, why don't other singers, especially the British singers, more especially the bigger singers like Ed Sheeran, think like him? the analogy of Eurovision as the musical Eurocup should be applied to minds of all musicians of the participating countries.

That sounds good to me ;) when I look at the results of last year.

When she go low, when she go low
She go so low, she go so low
Oh, she know, oh
Oh, she know she got me dirty dancin'

I am quite shocked about what happened to this thread. so many posts full of racism and stereotypes.

I totally expected something cheesy and I don't like it. I think in the build-up and interviews he will be all out cheesy like Nathan was.

This is travesty though, Austria 2015 should have been top 5 in the final.. xcry xcry1
The best Austrian entry EVER! xbow

I'll never get over it xcry

I'm not exactly thrilled by Austria's choice this year as I listened to some of his songs and found none that I liked. Everything seems pretty basic :(
Hope Alive will change that.
